Dark brown-black body, moderate sized medium brown head, spotty lacing. Dry roasted malts, soft coffee, dark chocolate, some dark fruits in the background, a bit of yeast spice. Flavor is similar, essentially a dry stout with accents contributed from the belgian yeast. Medium to full bodied, creamy carbonation, dry roasty finish, well-hidden abv.

Appearance
Black with a short tan head. No light penetration.

Nose
Concord grape, prune and red licorice.

Taste
Concord grape, overripe plum, prune and fig. Notes of cocoa, dark candy sugar and red licorice. Splashes of dark roast coffee with sugar; no cream. Earthy, roasty finish with touches of hay.

Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, slick, smooth and crisp.

Overall
Outstanding. Complex and very easy drinking at 8%.
