Bottle thanks to Toby! Pours a deep dark brown color with a medium beige head. A nice nose of cocoa, berries and chocolate cake. The flavor is pretty much a porter base with raspberries, very natural flavors, big chocolate some coffee. Good. A tasty mix of the two flavors.

A: Pours deep, dark brown with a slight foamy tan head
S: Decadent dark chocolate aroma with a hint of berry; other hints of truffle and slight maltiness
T: Roast chocolate; chocolate covered cherries
M: Smooth and balanced with a dry finish; long lasting flavors from the roasty malt
Overall: Classy dessert beer whose fruitiness is not too overpowering; perfect for a date (one who enjoys good beer that is)

#2 of 6 in the Exiled Series.
Had this at a tasting Saturday night and bought another bottle at the brewery on Sunday. Poured into my slim tulip... the brew is dark dark brown, but a little bit of ruby appears near the stem-end of my glass... light brown head doesn't stick around for too long, but decent lacing persists.
The nose delivers on both the chocolate and raspberry front.... Plenty of both. I would guess the base beer is a lighter flavored porter or even a brown ale. Most malt character is blown out (in a good way) by the flavors... maybe some malt sweetness helps bloom the chocolate and raspberry.
Flavor mirrors the nose with a lingering raspberry/chocolate cordial essence on the finish.
Body is a bit heavier than medium and helps the flavors carry on... carbonation maybe a touch light, but I believe that helps too.
