This hop monster shows no mercy. Seven insane additions of different hops create an assertive hop aroma of tropical fruits and citrus followed by fresh flavors of mango, pineapple, grapefruit and even coconut throughout each sip. Backed by a medium body and pleasantly pale-gold colored, this beer is brewed with 2-Row and caramel malts that can stand up to a beast of hops. Whether or not the Scepter Head actually exists doesn’t matter. Just don’t let her drink your beer.

Big thanks to Rbald42 for bringing this growler back from Missoula. Always happy to try a beer from a new brewery.
Appearance: Pours a pale straw color with moderate carbonation. 1" white head, great retention and lacing. Slight haze.
Smell: Citrus, dankness, light pine. Hint of malts. Strong florals. Awesome smell...this one really shows off a great bouquet of hops. About as good as it gets here.
Taste: Starts with a hint of malts, followed by citrus, pine, dankness, and florals. Seems a little empty all in all. Could use some more malts to back the hops. Still good, with the great hop character, but not quite as good as the nose.
Mouthfeel/Overall: Light bodied with moderate carbonation; pretty smooth drinking. Overall, a great addition to the Montana beer scene. The only IPA brewed in the state in the same league as Blackfoot River's. Maybe even a touch better, albeit not quite as well balanced.

Draft at Dillon Tap House. Dark golden, hazy, small creamy head. Light peppery, spicy aroma. Taste also centers on the peppers, with the malt and hops providing support for this thick, creamy brew.

Many thanks
A - Medium gold color with a thick layer of creamy white foam floating on top and moderate carbonation.
S - Some sweet caramel malt is poking through along with light sticky citrus.
T - Sweet caramel malt base is consistent throughout with resiny citrus, grapefruit, some pineapple, and tropical fruit over the top. Finishes with a moderate citrus bitterness on the very tail end.
M - Medium body with prickly carbonation and a semi-dry finish.
O - This is a rock solid IPA and at 3 months old this is drinkling surprisingly well. Very impressive!

Golden, clear body with huge white head which is very durable and leaves a ton of lacing.
Flavors are pine, more pine, and a good deal of balancing malt. Carbonation is light and very nice.
Pretty damn good.

Canned 6/28/18.
L: Pours dark honey gold in color. Forms about a finger of a dense frothy cap which retained nicely. Heaps of residual lacing.
S: Pine, citrus, malts and grassy hops.
T: Full of citrus and floral flavor. Finish is bitter with resinous hops. Malt backbone is prevalent throughout flavor adding another taste element to the beer.
F: Excellent feeling. Carbonation is perfect for the style. Feels slightly heavier and full in body compared to other alike styles.
O: An excellent WCIPA. I would gladly drink again and I am grateful to have tried. Cheers!

June 2018...pours bright amber, light foam top. Malty caramel nose. Floral hints. Smooth crisp malty taste with a lemon citrus backed bitter. Even blend well balanced. Sweetness with bitter all in one. Quite excellent.
