On tap at the Palmdale location
Look: Copper in color and totally translucent with a 1/4 inch head and ok retention
Smell: Muted notes of pumpkin and cinnamon
Taste: Artificial almost candy like pumpkin flavor. Hints of other autumn spices
Mouthfeel: Pretty thin and medium carbonation
Overall: Just decent at best
Serving type: on-tap

On-tap at the Valencia location, on to the beer:
Clean bodied and orange amber colored with good head retention and lace that sticks around the glass. The nose says pumpkin flesh, also allspice and vanilla. Right on the mark with the nose.
Very spiced in its taste. The pumpkin flavor is light in comparison to the allspice and clove notes which dominate in the beer. Around the edges is cinnamon. Spicy in the aftertaste.
A more than decent pumpkin ale to enjoy at BJ's. If you like spicy pumpkin beers, you will like this.

Pretty much on the mark as far as what I expected in a pumpkin ale...robust orange color with a thin persistant head. Pumpkins are present in the nose. Flavor is a bit tame, not much on the hops, but it's got a firm ale body, probably the same as their pale ale. Lots of carbonation, which lingers on the short aftertaste along with the pumpkins, sweet pale and carmel malts, and the faintest hops. It was fun to drink on this chily fall day, but there are bigger, bolder pumpkin ales out there. Try it if you're in the area.
