Served on draft at the brewery in Boynton Beach, FL. Pours a rather dark color for an IPA, almost an amber ale color. Topped with a very nice and fluffy, rather dense white head. Lacing was also nice; the head lasted for quite awhile so nice retention also.
Aroma was decent. There was a nice dose of hops but the malts came through a little bit too much for my tastes. Plenty of caramel "balance" with some earthy, citrusy, and slightly piney hops. Caramel and toffee flavors added too much sweetnes, in my opinion.
More caramel and malt than hops in the flavor. There is nothing wrong with that kind of beer, I just prefer the unbalanced, west coast syle of beer over European and East coast beers. There was a bit of sourness in the beer thatmay be attributed to poor temperature control, but who knows.
I am very glad to have a local brewer here in Boynton. They have only been open four months. The beer is good quality and should get better as they streamline and add consistency to the process. I would try any of the beers here.

On tap at the brewery. Served in a taster.
Appearance - Red body. Decent off white head. Wispy surface, lace, and a thick collar.
Smell - Malty. Pine hop. Much like a red ale. Definitely more of the caramel than most IPAs.
Taste - Really malty. Lots of caramel. Pine hop. Musty hops. Very bitter.
Mouthfeel - Medium heavy body. Medium carbonation. Extremely bitter.
Overall - Much better and cleaner than the Category 3, but more like an imperial red than an IPA.

Thanks to Stogies for this one, shared with rudzud.
Pours pretty thick looking, nice creamy 1 finger head fades slowly with nice lacing and nice retention, hazy almost murky dark reddish copper orange color. Gorgeous looking head for a growler especially.
Nose brings nice hops, light pine, plenty of spicy chewy like hops, light citrus orange rind, and pith, faint resin. Then light caramel nougaty chewy malts, hint almost booze.
Taste starts with spicy chewy hops, fairly bitter with a light citrus flavor and orange rind pith, almost astringent but the big somewhat sweet malts come through, chewy caramel reddish candy malts, with very faint booze. gets a little fruity, weird fruity flavor that's bitter but sweet, like a grapefruit rind and green unripe guava. Finish is super chewy spicy hops, earthy somewhat fruity citrus rind, light chemical vegetative oil booze flavor hard to pinpoint what it is, very bitter long finish.
Mouth is med to fuller bod, decent carb.
Overall not bad, but a bit too much rind bitterness and not a lot of complexity, and that weird but very light phenolic booze thing on the finish, otherwise quite nice, esp for a big IPA from Florida, nice malt backbone to balance the big bitter hop character.

Thanks to JLindros for sharing this Growler.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a deep honeyed amber hue with a nice one finger head that leaves nice side lacing and a thin blanket. Very very nice.
T - Taste is very solid, especially for a growler. Quite impressive for an ipa from Florida. Light malt sweetness, some nice rinds and pine and grapefruit. There is a slight phenol vegetable note on the finish though.
M - Mouthfeel is quite nice for a growler. Good carbonation.
O - Overall I was somewhat impressed by this growler. Solid ipa offering from Florida. Glad I got to try.

This is a good but not great (or even very good) IPA.
Looks great in the glass, nice lacing and smallish head.
Smell is faint and mainly malty.
Taste is middle of the road east coast IPA like a 60 minute home brew clone variant.
Totally drinkable but at a bar with many craft selections it would be lost in the crowd.
Had this one at the brewery so it should be fresh.
