As anytime I travel I hit-up BA for suggestions. In this case I found that there was a microbrewery within miles of our condo. I was also impressed the night before at JP Henleys by one of their beers.

The brewery is in an Agricultural/Industrial area near the outlet malls. Very easy to find. It reminds me of many of the cooler breweries. They had activities (pool, darts, cornhole) and they are able to sell pints. Definitely cool and I hope SC will allow it soon.

We got their as soon as it opened. The young lady there was extremely helpful and quickly set me up with a flight. They were out of some of the beers in the flight and their specialty beers are off limits to a flight. However she was kind enough to give me a sample of the specials and then she allowed me to substitute some draft only Cigar City brews for the 2 they were out of. Score! We get draft only Cigar City releases in SC at fests so it was a great switch.

Their beers are solid and definitely could be a daily staple. I could see spending a lot of time here. They are making some great specialty beers as well. Cool place to be. Bought a t-shirt and can't wait to sport it at Brewvival next week.

My wife and I visited Mile Marker while in St. Augustine. The place is really cool. There weren't many people there but there was a nice small bar with cool decorations in the room. Live music was playing. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly. We were invited into the tap room where they had bags, ping-pong and a big screen tv. We got a tour of the operations and all the story's behind the beers they are brewing. I tried all the beers they had to try, my favorite being their Red Ale. All of the beers were good but not great with the exception of the Red Ale. One of the best Red Ales I've had. I really hope these guys continue to get St. Augustine behind their beers and start growing. I could tell that everyone involved with the brewery was very passionate about it. If you're in St. Augustine it's worth your while to get away from the tourists for a while and check out Mile Marker.

Please ignore that low rated review, this place is awesome and in no way deserves such a low score. THe tap room has so much stuff to keep you entertained such as ping pong, corn hole, darts, golden tee, ski ball, juke box, and tv. The place has a large tap room and an even larger warehouse. The staff was too nice, attentive, and awesome. The crowd was awesome. Good people and not a hipster in sight. The location is a little out of the way from downtown st augustine but it is well worth the treck. The beers were great. My favorites were the delicious honey Kolsch, the coconut porter, and the IPA. Prices were definitely reasonable and are cheaper than most craft breweries. I wish I wasnt just visiting St Augustine because I would be here all the time.

Location near the outlet malls in St. Augustine. I went to flight school and tried all of their beers over a couple hours to get a feel for the brewery. The selection is very good with th major genres represented and a couple genre variations. The service is very good with a knowledgeable and attentive bartender. The facility is well done and nicely laid out. Location is typical; in an industrial park. As far as quality there are multiple well done, year round go to beers here. A few could use a little tweaking but of those they are still drinkable and are by no means bad beers. Happy to see another brewery in northeast Florida and I hope this one prospers.

Apitasia, a message to your 1/5 review. How in the F do u say in one post that you stopped to drink on your lunch break then also say you can't wait until the bar opens because you have a real job. What kind of real job can you do while drinking. Stick to blogging and stop poisoning this site with poorly rendered reviews.

Great place I have been going to since they opened, the five plus craft beers are awesome..esp when they do something special to it..like add apricot or pecan. The staff makes you feel at home, and treat you like family. If you are lucky, Houston the lab will give you an approval by bark proxy. 1565 Red is something to behold..or beholding in a pint. The taproom reminds me of many a bar in Ft Pierce or the Keys, but with privacy. This would make for a good private event site. The production facility looks clean, tidy, and sterile....which is a good thing when making food and beverage products. The bottom line, I don't drink on my lunch break because I have a professional job, I am not a crybaby so I can wait for beer to actually try...even if it takes a minute or 10...which has never happened there. Other beneifits included darts, old skool video games, corn hole, hot bartenders(for both genders)...I like the ladies, and your not a snobby self-absorbed butt clown...this is a good spot. My qualifications are, I have been drinking beer all over the world for 20 years, I am a lean mean sexy drinking machine! Oh and I am an Irishman....

According to their website, Mile Marker Brewing opened it's doors in late October, 2011. I decided to visit this brewery during my lunch break at work on the hopes of finding a new after work beer spot and to laud on my blog site. It's not the easiest location to find, off of highway 16 & 208 in West St. Augustine (near the I-95 exit) on Agriculture drive. Once on agriculture drive, go way back around the curve and it'll be on your left hand side.

When I exited my car, I was assaulted by the loud drum & bass of a nightclub. Mile Marker takes up two stalls in a multi-warehouse complex.
When I walked in, the tasting room was completely empty, consisting of a small wooden bar, a wooden dance floor area with a neon painted mural on the floor, a corner nook with a grungy looking saltwater tank (clean it, you have a calcarious purple algae problem on your glass) and the ubiquitous black paint and purple annoyance of black lights. It looked like my old college dorm room threw up a double rainbow in there.

The brewery was unoccupied and sterile looking. I got a quick glimpse of four conical steel/copper fermenters and a pallet of bagged malts before I was surprised by a 20-something kid from behind the bar.

I was told by the young lady that they weren't open yet, even though the hours on their website said the tasting room opens Tuesday-Sunday at 1:00 pm to midnight. When I pointed this out, the young lady responded, "oh wow, what time is it?" When I filled her in, she announced that she'd be open by "oh 2:30, can you come back then?"

No. No, I cannot. Some of us work at real jobs for a living.

As I wasn't allowed to sample the product (of which there are a total of three beers), I can't offer a review of that. I can tell you that the atmosphere screams college. Good luck bridging that gap into the target craft beer demographic of St. Augustine with Ke$ha dominating your eardrums.

The quality of their beer remains unknown. The service is inept at best and lacks serious customer service at worst. The selection is miniscule, however if done right, they might be nice beers (I wouldn't know). There didn't appear to be any food and the only value lost was my time and effort.

If I see a single on the local brew store shelves, or a tap offering at a local brewpub, I might try it. I won't, however, re-visit the brewery.
