I can't believe it's taken me this long to review Driftwood. BBC used to be my regular spot for drinks in Plymouth. Then Driftwood opened. My love for the BBC has been documented so for Driftwood to take over as my go-to speaks volumes to how well they've done. Starting from the most obvious difference, the prices are better at Driftwood. I've known for a while that the BBC was a little pricey but I think I'd gotten used to it. Getting a damn good beer for under $8 was quite a delightful surprise the first time we checked out Driftwood. It took a couple trips before we were there for dinner and the food did not disappoint. The only non-stellar bit has been a couple of the servers we've had at dinner. They weren't rude, they just seemed preoccupied with doing something, anything other than getting drinks refilled or taking our order. But we've also had quite nice experiences with servers so maybe they were just off nights. In closing, I can't recommend this place enough. Support a fantastic local startup and help keep them around for a long time.

Freshly opened 2 weeks ago. Sat down with wife for a few early evening pints after dinner (wish I had waited on dinner as their menu looks delicious). Bartender/owner was friendly, very knowledgeable and you could tell he was proud of the new place.
Atmosphere was fairly comfortable, lights were dimmed as the place started to fill up making things cozier. I didn't count, but probably bout 15 spots at the bar.
20 selections on tap, quality selections for a range of tastes - a couple local Mayflower brews, Smuttynose Old Brown Dog, Stone Smoked Porter, SN Ruthless Rye, DFH Fort, De Ranke Guldenberg, Avery Maharaja, Brooklyn Chocolate, Racer X, and my favorite of the night Lost Abbey Deliverance... mmmm
A promising establishment and they seem to take a lot of pride in what they do... Looking forward to stopping in whenever I can. Got nothing bad to say, highly recommend.
