Good red but not very strong. Lacks that red strong taste. Decent beer but the food makes up for there house brews. Few beers really have that intense hop taste that i like. all in all not a bad beer spot. and the Jeremiah Red is definitely my favorite of their house brews. It beats drinking miller lite.

A strong red ale that pairs very well with pizza and burgers. BJ's has done an outstanding job with their red ale. I have tried every one of their offerings and this is one of my favorites, and one of my top three favorite red ales. Sweet mouthfeel with a great malty finish.

Had this at the Allen Texas brewpub. Served in a 3 ounce sample glass???
Light red body and a wisp of a off white head
Candy like smell and very fruity
Very smooth and sweet...light earthy hop finish
Medium and well carbonated
Not bad. Very drinkable. Nice asseertiveness with the hops at the end. Unique malt profile but not as assertive as I might like in a red

The color when poured, was reddish brown with white foam and a moderate amount of lace. The smell of hops and malts with a hint of spice was evident in the aroma. The taste was on the sweet alcoholic side, but very pleasurable. This ale is well balanced. The flavor and aroma is very good.

A: single finger head. Clear amber body. Nice lacing.
S: sweet caramel malt mostly and little else.
T: lots of sweet caramel. A mild spicy finish. Malt intermixed.
M: incrediblely smooth, full body for a red which are usually watery in my experience.
Overall: excellent red ale in a category which is usually watered down. Maybe the best beer they serve for its genre.

A - A clear, copper colored body, topped by a white head. Good retention and lace.
S - Toffee and a bit of fruity caramel, some spicy hops in the background.
T - Bready malt with some caramel spicy hops and a hint of red apple in the finish.
M - Medium body, moderate carbonation and a somewhat sweet finish.
D - Malty and a bit sweet and while there are some hops for balance, it is really lacking in hop flavor and aroma relative to what I would have expected from a beer of this strength. It is a kind of average amber with no flaws other than a bit of a medicinal note in the finish, but not something that I would be excited to drink again.
