Our German style Alt has a brilliant amber hue, and silky smooth medium body. Its light tan head is thick, retaining, and laces the glass all the way down. A Noble hop aroma up front finishes with a caramel malt nose. Our old world brewing method brings out a light toasted-bread flavor you’ll want to savor again and again. It’s a mouthwatering, thirst quenching delight.

For an Alt Bier or Amber, this is excellent.
The head on my pour was tall and very slow to dissipate and left copious amount of lacing.
The aroma was lost on my Covid damaged nose.
The taste is rich in malts and mild but flavorful hops. The balance was very good.
The feel was appropriate for the style, easy quaffing and not water thin.
OA, I don’t drink many amber or alt beers, but I would happily drink this one again.

I look for this beer every time I go to the beer store. It is one of my favorites of all time. I like the fresh smell and crispness when I am in the mood for a relaxing Amber. The company hits all highs for an Amber. The issue is supply. There is not enough to go around.

12oz draft at Michigan Beer Growler Co. Poured into a mason jar glass.
Pour: Light amber with thin head. Moderate carbonation.
Nose: Couldn’t get a good sniff but some dark fruit, roasted malt.
Taste: Medium roast malt, caramel, light coffee. Not super complex but very tasty and drinkable.
Mouthfeel: like a thin porter, easy to drink. Clean finish.
Overall: very enjoyable, would be good with a wide variety of food or weather. Nothing super but worth trying and would be a good beer to have around for any occasion.

Thanks Chris.
This was poured into a stange.
The appearance was a nice looking earthy red color with a modest transparency, moreso around the edges of the glass. A finger's worth of white foamy head slid off mildly to leave some adequate lace.
The aroma had some earthy yeastiness playing with some dark bready tones and then a light earthy hoppiness.
The flavor took the prior mentioned aromas together somewhat sweetly and then brought in some powdery biscuity dryness just before the aftertaste hits. The aftertaste was dark bready with a mild earthiness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fine sessionability about it. Carbonation and ABV felt on par. Finish was earthy, yeasty and bready.
Overall, pretty nice as altbier, I'd have if offered.

Can no date. Bought July 2, 2018. Michigan stout glass.
A: pours a dark amber, bordering on ruby brown with three and a half fingers of foamy head sticking out of the glass. I can’t get this 16 oz can into a 20 oz glass. Fairly translucent with streams of thin bubbles.
S: sweet, malty, fruity - like maraschino cherry, dried cherries, Golden raisins.
T: sweet, toasty, caramel, cherries, bordering on cola-like. Really kind of tastes like a less-sweet Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pibb. Been years since I’ve had one of those.
M: lighter end of medium, moderate to high carbonation, and shockingly crisp for such a malty beer. I suppose that’s the lagering they do with the altbier style. Despite the lighter body, attenuation, and relatively high carbonation, it still has a very mouth-filling effect.
O: a very nice amber. Clean, drinkable. The two cardinal sins of amber ales are being too hoppy, and beyond a sweet syrupy mess. This is neither. It is a balanced, malty, clean ale. A touch sweet for sessioning, though. Really done to style for an altbier.

Look: Opaque amber. Very thin, bubbly white head that disappears in a hot minute.
Smell: Light bready malt with yeast, like sourdough bread.
Taste: Sourdough bread with little to no bitterness to balance.
Mouthfeel: A little thin and well carbonated.
Overall: Decent bar quaffing beer with little complexity. A grown-up alternative to cheap lagers.

Nose of caramel, toasted malt, hay, faint cereal, nuttiness. Taste sweet malt, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, faint chocolate & molasses. Medium body and carbo.

Easy drinker. Had some caramel and malty flavor, too. Creamy mouth feel. All in all a decent find. Would drink it again.
