Ahhh long time since I reviewed a beer. This will be fun.

Poured into a Town Hall nonic-pint glass on July 4th, happy birthday USA.

Pours a light perfectly clear golden straw color the beer has tons of . The pour has one finger of bubbly carbonated head that dissipates quickly but there is tons of little bubbles stuck to the entire glass. It leaves no lacing at all.

Smells of a little sweet malt I don't get much hops, a little flower note and a little citrus. There is a significant amount of alcohol smell which I can't really account for being 5%.

Taste is much the same as the smell minus the alcohol. Its light in the palete but refreshing. Flowers and grass and slight hops. Good but not great.

Mouthfeel is light, maybe a little to light for an APA. It is refreshing though a nice beer for a hot day like today. NOt much carb in the mouthfeel.

Overall its an alright beer. Refreshing and light with a nice summer floral grassy smell and taste.

Pours a dark golden color, not quite amber, with a white head which recedes to a thin cap after one minute. Good lacing.

I get some malty biscuit notes with a balancing suggestion on hops

Starts out with some citrus fruits, like, pine and some mild grapefruit which is nicely balanced until the finish when it eventually dries out.

Mouthfeel is appropriate per style, low-med carbonation. Lingering hop oil finish.

Overall, not a bad pale. I would like to see far more hops on the nose. Bring on the late additions!

This beer pours a clear bronze color with a quarter inch head that recedes quickly into sparse lacing. The aroma is full of butterscotch and toffee. The taste is pure butterscotch with a rancid acidity that lingers long. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Overall, this is a terrible beer that should not be on the market.

growler purchased directly from the brewery. $10 plus $5 for the glass. not too shabby.

Look is a clear amber-gold, lighter in color, with a bone-white froth of head. Smell is hay, wheat, a buttery malt sweetness, and citrus hops. Taste is a very citrus forward APA, with more buttery malt than i remember, reminiscent of peanut butter. Feel is light and smooth, with a creamy thickness to the finish.

Solid pale ale. If not unique, it definitely stands out on it's own compared to others similar.

A- straw pale orange color, mildly active carbonation, and 1 finger of pitch white foam that slowly dwindles.

S- citrus hops with fruity yeast residuals. it's pleasant, but not pungent.

T- a midly aggressive hop delivery. it's gotta be horizon hops, because summit's epa comes to mind right away. It's like Summit EPA Light. I'm very pleased. I get an amber or light malt extract taste too. It's balanced, leaning towards the hops.

M- Dry, crisp, slight bite of carbonation, and medium bodied. it suits the style in my opinion.

O- Score! I really love this APA. I'm happy to say that my expectations of this beer, and this brewery were met. It's sessionable, full flavored, and respectable in the realm of APAs. I'd buy a six pack anytime.

I'm trying to drink local, slowly working my way through the many new beers from the many new breweries in the Twin Cities area. Here's another from Lucid. Tasted 28 November 2012, reviewed from notes.

Pours bright orange with a golden touch, crystal clear, with a loose stream of bubbles rising up. One finger of white head, okay retention, decent lacing.

Smell is nicely hoppy, dominated by citrus, with a sweet slant. Has a funny peanut butter aroma that becomes more prominent as the head fades and it warms up. Yeah, now I'm mostly smelling peanut butter. Started out better, but declined as that peanut butter came to the fore.

Taste... what's with the peanut butter? The flavor here is half hoppy pale ale and half that. It's too bad, as what I can pick up from the pale ale portion reminds me of some things from Three Floyds - light malts, slightly spicy, with a gentle but assertive bitter twinge. I'd like it, if only...

Light body, prickly carbonation. Makes my mouth tingle, and it last just as long as it should. It's actually really nice, and spot-on for a pale ale.

This beer would be excellent, if you could cut out the peanut butter. As is, it's pretty good, just kinda weird.

Not too sure what that means.

A= Pours a light golden color with a thin white head on it that holds nice retention and some solid lacing.

S= The smell is weird. It has some light hop character to it as well as a little bit of a sort of rotting fruit smell. Having worked at a grocery store in the produce department I've sort of learned what rotting fruit smells like and this has a little bit of that smell.

T= The taste again has a sort of rotting fruit taste to it. There is a little bit of a hop flavor but the aftertaste on this is rotten fruit. It's really weird. I can't think of a reason a beer would taste like this.

M= Very well carbonated.

O= This is a second disapointment from lucid for me. The beer isn't tooo bad but it isn't quite right either. Something is wrong here.
