Poured from the bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a finger of creamy off white head. The smell is sweet with some hops and a slight spice note. The taste is sweet off the bat with a nice hop bitterness. Mild citrus peel bitterness. There is a spice note that reminds me of rye. The finish is sweet from grain and rather hoppy.

Distinct nose of spice and unripe mango. Sweet malty component to the taste that clashes with some of the more offbeat hop notes. Thick mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Caught some alcohol on the finish, which is otherwise nicely done. Not a bad DIPA attempt, but not distinguished enough to try again.

A: hazy, orange colored, unfiltered, cloudy
S: pine, resin, booze, some sweetness.
T: huge hop presence balanced well with a sweet malt background, very dry finish.
M: carbonation danced on my tounge
O: this was a pretty great beer. It's definitely a big beer. Hopefully they brew this again. It slightly reminded me of Ruination.

Pours a cloudy orange-amber-blonde into my glass with a nice one-finger head. Interesting presentation. I think the cloudiness is from hop residue?

Grapefruit and to a lesser extent, mango on the nose. Assertive. It's safe to assume that this one is going to rock the taste buds to their core.

Word. A wave of grapefruit, mango and pine greets the taste buds. Freshly-squeezed hop juice is the best way to describe it. The label mentions a new experimental hop, HBC-342. I don't know much about it but it certainly compliments the Nugget, Columbus, Zythos and Simcoe.

Lingering hop juice (grapefruit, mango pine flavors) with a bit of alcohol heat toward the back. Very pleasurable.

I'd say this is one of the better DIPAs I've had. It immediately reminded me of Heady Topper due to the freshness and hop punch. Worth checking out if you're a fellow hophead!

Appearance: Clear, light gold. Head is white, creamy, and sticky as can be. Clings to the glass in sheets. Heads drops to a small, yet persistent, cap. Creamy and smooth. Moderate carbonation on the pour.

Smell: A bit leafy. Some grass. Grapefruit skin. Mildly pithy. Some underlying tropical notes. Tangerine and mango. Light herbal spiciness lingers in the back. Malts are light with just a tiny bit of sweetness. Some light breadiness and touches of caramel malt. Some aspirin in the back. Bright and sweet. Hints of pine. A lot of hop complexity, but nothing really potent. Nicely balanced.

Taste: Light bready malt sweetness. Some underlying wheat twang. Candied hops. Some underlying pine needles. Grapefruit and some orange flesh. Touches of underripe mango and tangerine. Lingering resinous bitterness. Some pith. Touches of spearmint. Candy/sugary sweet on the finish. Legit cane syrup. Some backing grassy elements. Light pale malts. Aspirin-like finish.

Mouthfeel: Moderate carbonation. Wet and slick. Body runs a bit heavier than medium. Juicy.

Overall: One-winged angel.

One of the straight up juiciest double IPAs I've ever encountered. A bit too sweet in the long run, but the overall hop profile is unique enough to make this beer worth drinking and seeking out. A nice under the radar NE DIPA.
