A-Pours hazy orange. Hard to tell the head from the sample cup.
S-Citrus and pine. It smells pretty nice. Not overly intense and it doesn't have a specific point that really stands out. The hoppy aroma is more grassy and piney than anything else. More muscle, less depth.
T-To begin, I think this beer tasted quite right. The flavor was more generous than the nose. The citrus and miscellaneous fruits piped up on the palate more than in the schnoz. A steady malt sweetened the hops out too. It had some spiciness, was grassy and piney and lent some amusing fruity notes.
M-Bitter but not malicious. No blatant qualms.
O/D-For some reason I had super-high expectations for this brew. I thought it was going to be the winner of the 'Best Brew Nobody Knows About' award. It didn't steal the title. It was pretty nice, to its defense. I must say, I would like to give this one another shot someday.

Stopped by Duckworth's in Charlotte last week and having never tried anything from these guys, I started out the evening with this.
The beer presented in a tall tulip glass. A slightly hazy dark amber/gold color with a good bit of froth on top. Big hoppy aroma. Grapefruit, orange slices, honeydew melon, freshly-ground hop cones. That's what I'm talking about. Very nice aroma. I'm excited for this one.
Moderate heft, holds up to the alcohol and flavor profile nicely. Crisp finish. Fresh hops all over the palate. Nothing tastes artificial or cheap here. Lots of fresh citrus fruity flavors, mild veggie greens, sweet honey malts - great balance! This was surprising. Such a great IPA. I am continually impressed and excited that NC is finally making some strides and improving their IPAs offered. One of the top-3 in the state IMO. Nice work, NoDa.

Thanks to kubrick215 for picking up and sharing this growler. My first beer from NoDa.
Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with tangerine hues and a 1.5 finger white head. Good retention, only slowly fading into a lasting cap. Splotchy lacing left behind.
Spicy hop aroma with tropical fruit and resinous pine notes along with bread and a pale malt backbone. Slightly grassy with hints of pine, mango, pineapple, lemon peel bread/yeast and biscuit.
Medium bodied with crisp hop bitterness that lingers over the sweet malt backbone into a dry finish. Resinous oils with grassy pine and earthy bitterness countered by subtle fruit sweetness. Malt backbone is stronger than expected but doesn't interfere too much with the hops giving off notes of biscuit and graham cracker. Well balanced yet still retains a strong hop profile. Enjoyable and easy to drink.

A: nice copper color with a finger or so head
S: love the smell of this beer. Very aromatic. Nice mix of grass pine. Very little citrus.
T: great tasting beer. The pine and grass are prominent. Very drinkable and ordered a couple at the tasting room and they all went done easy. The 7.2 is hidden very nicely.
O: great west coast style IPA. The aromatics of this beer shine. The hope just roll if the beer. Def a acceptional beer and one I always order of its around.
