A little under one finger of off-white to tan foam, steady dissolve down to a thin dusting across the surface, the lacing is likewise thin and slides down with ease. Bright metallic amber color with about equal orange to brown tints, hint of yellow at the glass bottom, quite clear, shiny and transparent, very few bubbles visible. While caramel and molasses come through in the nose, it remains primarily driven by dried grass, wheat germ, pepper, pretzel dough notes, touch of white grapefruit pith, no discernible fruit presence but some lactose to help it become creamier in feel as it warms up. Full-bodied, round but not soft in texture, the carbonation is way higher than the head and visible bubbles would suggest, lots of prickle. Here too the herbaceous qualities, salt and pepper, country style bread crust and lemon to grapefruit bite dominates. Conversely, the caramel, butterscotch, chocolate, cola bean accents steady throughout. Light apricot, apple, peach nuances. On the whole, probably just more sweet than dry, with a wiry tautness. Wears its complexity well and stays balanced, stays drinkable a few pints in.

I've drank all of NoDa's beers and this one is the silent session, beer that may ID Charlotte on the map. A red it may be in color, it is a creamy amber which is ridiculously drinkable. The nose is sweet with a hint of the grains, but the body is what you would expect of a solid amber. Mouthfeel is incredible! I get a creamy sensation coupled with a vibrant subtle bitter bite (like and ESB). carbonation! This beer is drinkable and flavorful. If you appreciate a good, mild session beer, this may be one of the best i've had.

On tap at Duckworths in Ballantyne. Served in a pint glass
Clear deep copper/amber color with reddish highlights. About two fingers worth of off white head recedes slowly leaving behind an impressive amount of lacing.
Rich caramel and bready malts are the most noticable aromas, but there are some interesting toasty notes, and some slightly citrusy and floral hops.
Bready, toasty, and caramel malt notes top out the flavors. Hops are slightly citrusy, but more floral and earthy. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated with a very smooth mouthfeel. Very drinkable, solid beer overall.
I wasn't really sure what to expect from this beer. NoDa seems to have a real affinity for beers on the hoppyer end of the spectrum, I almost expected something much hoppier like a Red Rocket or Big Hoppy Monster. I was surprised and impressed with how this beer turned out, very nice easy to drink traditional amber ale... Nicely done

Had at the grand opening. Served from tap into a NoDa shaker. Pours deep red orange with a two finger off-white head that subsided to half finger slowly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, caramel, earth, caramel hop, butterscotch, and subtle sweet milk. The flavor was of sweet malt, caramel, earthy, earthy hop, subtle citrus, and butterscotch. It had a medium feel on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall this was a decent brew. The flavors were very well blended and complimented each other quite well. This made this brew quite easy to drink and could be a good intro brew for n00bs to craft beer. Tick.
