Murky amber-oxblood with clingy creme film that rings. Raspberry and fresh brown loaf on the nose.
Big strawberry rhubarb jam to lead with caramel, some dark toast, milk chocolate buttons and a hint of vanilla liqueur followed by very fruity hops (papaya, tangerine, summer red berry).
Orange peel ending and sticky linger. Medium, velvety more than chewy, no burn.
Hand numbered bottle: "69 (Dude!)"
Round, nuanced and surprisingly fruity. There's definitely a touch of chocolate malt, and it's impressive to get all that hop fruit without a citrus IBU bite. My only concern would be the age of the bottle, since there's not much for bitterness, but how old could it be from such a new brewery?
Very drinkable barleywine.

A - Pours a deep walnut brown, with a 1 finger head, that fades to a covering with low carbonation.
S - Lots of malt, with some roasted and maybe even smoky notes.
T - The malt takes center stage. There is a good bit of toasted/roasted malt flavor, not at much sweetness as many barelywines have. The hops are assertive, but more on the IPA level rather than hitting you over the head like many West Coast barleywines. (I actually like to get hit over the head though)
M - Moderate body, finishes pretty clean even without a very high alcohol content. Could use a little more syrupiness to the feel, I expect a barleywine to coat your mouth with the alcohol to warm and clean the palette at the end.
O - This is a good beer that almost comes across more like a double IPA with some roasted malt. Different but good!
