Medium bodied west coast style IPA hopped primarily with Citra hops. Pale to copper in color, this IPA packs big citrus, mango, tropical, and floral notes.

It's a pretty dark pour for an American APA: deep rust-color with a medium haze. Smells dry and alpha-heavy, surprisingly old-school.
The hop flavor is... intriguing. There's some citra in there, along with something I can't place, a mix of older school high alpha citrus and some strange herbaceousness. Maybe it's Australian, or something? I like the weirdness at first but it begins to grate on me after a while: the sweet fruitiness of the citra and the weirdly herbal hop just don't really go together.
It's unique, and I'll give it points for that. And interesting. Doesn't *quite* work, imho, but it's still worth a try.

I liked it. When I am back in York, I will most likely have this during the night at the brewery.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to amber color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated leaving speckled sticky foamy lacing around the glass. The smell had a huge fresh citrus sweet hoppiness running over some light freshly cut grass and a light underneath of sweet to semi-bitter pine. The taste had a full bittersweet citrus to light underneath of sweet caramel malts. A semi-lingering bittersweet citrus/caramel aftertaste leads to a semi-dry bittersweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonated nicely as an AIPA, still a nice bittersweet harshness hits my tongue nicely. Overall, I say this was a wonderful AIPA that I would love to have again.
