Notes:
Blatant IPA is reminiscent of those hoppy beers brewed by our West Coast friends, but represents the enormous pride we have in our East Coast roots. Full of hops and a subtle cereal grain backbone, this definitively BLATANT brew will demand the attention of the senses: the aroma, the flavor, the finish. Don’t look any further, this is the IPA you’re looking for.

Poured into my Portsmouth snifter.
Appeared a hazy golden/orange color.
Smelled of some malts with a decent hop profile. Somewhat light in scent.
Taste was good. Would have liked some more hop bitterness, but overall it was pretty balanced.
Mouthfeel was a bit light and too carbonated for my liking.
Overall this was a good IPA, and at $4.99 for a 22 oz bottle, you can't go wrong. I'd be interested in trying some other offerings from Blatant.

A- Poured a dusty golden hue with approximately one fingers length of head, not much retention
S- The lovely hop aroma is peppered with notes of grapefruit and orange peel
T- The citrusy grapefruit aroma is also accented in the flavor; I'm also picking up some mild spice phenolics. The initial grainy/ malt character is well balanced by the lingering bitter finish.
M- Low to medium body and medium carbonation
O- Tasty refreshing treat. Hit me with another

Bomber poured into a pint glass. Not date that I can see.
A: Hazy gold, maybe a shade or two darker than you typical macro lager. leaves a nice fluffy two finger head with plenty of lace.
S: Crisp and fresh hop aroma of lemons and grass, maybe some lighter grapefruit and sweeter pineapple. Malts are there and are a bit bready.
T: First thing I notice is that its very crisp and refreshing with mostly lemony and grapefruity hop flavors balanced nicely with a solid bready malt presence. Good solid hop bitterness that is mostly dry.
M: Medium, crisp and refreshing.
O: Damn solid MA local IPA, glad I gave this a try, I guess it just recently returned to shelves in my area. If you see it, its definitely worth the 5 bucks, very affordable.

On-tap at Publick House. 16oz serving served in a standard pint glass.
A- Pours a fairly translucent with a hint of haze and fairly bright golden. About a quarter finger of white head that dissipates fairly fast and leaves some spotty lacing. Not too much carbonation, definitely a little bit below average.
S- Lots of lemons, some light citrus hops, lightly spiced, a little bit above average aroma strength but not extremely aromatic.
T- Lemons, citrus hops, a hint of grapefruit, fairly bitter on the finish- a little bit too much for my preference.
M- Medium bodied, maybe a tiny bit on the thin side, decent carbonation.
O- This was definitely a nice local IPA- one of the better ones from MA, but nothing outstanding when compared to other top-notch IPAs. If you like lemony IPAs you should definitely try this. I would definitely have this again, but it probably wouldn't be my first IPA of choice.

From 08/17/12 notes. Had this on tap at Publick House up in Boston, MA. Served in a pint glass.
a - Pours a hazy yellow-orange color with one inch of bright white head and moderate carbonation evident.
s - Smells of oranges, citrus hops, grapefruit, fruity malts, light caramel malts. Very fruity; reminds me a tiny bit of fruity pebbles cereal.
t - Tastes of oranges, citrus hops, spice, yeast, bready malts, fruity malts, and light caramel malts. Taste has more oranges than the nose; quite nice.
m - Medium body and moderate carbonation. No real bitterness in the mouthfeel which I like.
o - Overall a realy nice local IPA. Tons or oranges and citrus hops to this one which I like a lot, yet not bitter at all and very drinkable. Would definitely have it again.
