I worked at a pharmaceutical plant down the street from Golden Road. I went there by myself and had some pork sliders and a ceviche bowl with chips. The food goes well with the beer! The staff is friendly and pretty hipstery (it's Glendale!). I enjoyed it so much that I invited the whole crew of stinky millwrights there. We had about 8 pitchers of Kolsch and we sat out in the July sun and talked shit and checked out the hotties going in and out, the queers, the lipstick lesbians, the young office working professionals and there we were- sweaty and stinky from welding on top of a hot sticky tar topped roof of a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. There are always a great mix of patrons that visit Golden Road. Kolsch is amazing after a long hot day. Mildly Handsome is incredible- it's like Dayman Jr. I love this place! It reminds me of Los Angeles.

I just died and went to heaven.
Golden Road Pub literally has every single thing you want in a brew pub and a few things you that are just so fun and unexpected. Inside, outside, games, TV's, quiet areas, loud areas and all in a quirky areas that happens to be 5 minutes from my apartment.
The beer is the main reason to go. It's sooo good. I like hoppu IPAs and Wolf Among Weeds is darn near perfect. The selection of beers can't be beat. Tonight they have about 12 beers made in house and about 5 outside taps that all looked great.
I really like the food they serve. I LOVE the burger but I also love the pretzel and the coconut salad.
It's a fun and friendly place that is unlike anything in the area.

located in the industrial area on san fernando road near glendale..
stopped and decided to go in even though it looked incredibly crowded.
Lots of cars and a huge crowd outside.
They have picnic tables, games, everything you could ask for.
was worried it would be a wait but there were still a few tables inside, it's a big place..
The inside area is open to the outside, really casual...perfect.
We tried 4 different tasters, the regular ale is pretty light but the ipa and the brown were good.
Really a great place to relax and have a pint...

I went to the grand opening last week, which is kind of funny because I have been there about 4 times in the last few weeks.
Golden Road is freaking awesome.
Los Angeles has been needing a brewery like this for a long time and I'm thrilled to live just a bike ride away.
Rex (my dog) and I love it there. They have a dog deck just for the pooch people which we both appreciate.
The beers are great and the food is delicious. The service is kind of funny. You order at the bar and get a little table buzzer like you get at cheesecake factory. You get buzzed when you can walk up and pick up your food.
It's an industrial vibe with trains rumbling through and people of all walks of life drinking great beer.

The brewery is in one building and the pub is in another. Big, sprawling and airy warehouse vibe with a few patios. Fun, easy, and vibrant place.
These guys kind of stumbled out of the gate but they've gotten their act together. The service and food are miles ahead of where they were when they opened and the beer has gone from decent to superb.
Parking can be a pain when they are very busy, and service has been a bit spotty although way better than before. Other than that, this is the brewery destination in LA and it's got charm and chops to spare.
Don't miss Wolf Among Weeds IPA and Berliner Weiss and those pretzels with hot mustard.

Golden Road has quickly become the home of craft beer in Los Angeles. The pub has a cool vibe with breezy patio and wide open doors. They have an interesting and surprising menu with no burgers, fries, pizza, sausages, or onion rings. Instead they have fancy sh!t like duck confit and vegan bahn mi, but it was very tasty. My favorite menu item is the giant pretzel with the spicy mustard.
The house beers are generally very good with the odd outstanding one and the odd average one. They also have a great board of guest beers.
I love hanging out at this brewery. It just feels like a brewery should.

The road to Golden Road has one major flaw; its parking situation. Although there looks to be ample parking in its own parking lot, it just wasn't enough. Parking isn't any better on the street, which meant I had to come up and hope to find an empty spot. I might expect this on a Friday night, but for a Thursday afternoon you'd think the city decided to give everybody the day off.
Even from outside, the pub looks fun. There's a kids area with a playground and ping pong table, lots of patio seating, and additional seating inside and at the bar. In addition to beer, food is also served, which I wasn't expecting. I also wasn't expecting the bar to be manned with staff so well; with multiple bartenders, getting a drink was easy.
16 house beers were available, on-tap and from the can, plus two guest canned offering from Oskar Blues and Maui. Regarding Golden Road, standard like Point the Way, Get Offa That Brown, and Hefeweizen are served alongside a coffee mild, saison, American wheat ale, and several other variations of the IPA/ pale ale style. Two cask engines sit at the bar, with one in operation pouring a kolsch. Good beer, alongside a large variety of glassware served according to beer adds to the fun that is Golden Road.
I'd do it again, certainly. But next time I promise to not go on a full stomach. Golden Road is well worth visiting regarding any beer itinerary in Los Angeles.

As a long time fan of Tony's Darts Away in Burbank, I was naturally ecstatic to try out Golden Road Brewing. Both are owned by the same people and both share the same craft beer enthusiasm that was captured my heart.
Golden Road is HUGE and cavernous but maintains a great vibe and real inside outside feel.
The beers are really great. Even on nights when the house brands few, there are tons of great beers from breweries like Avery, Sierra Nevada, and Dogfish Head etc.
Been twice and my only complaint is that the service is odd. Sometimes it flows and sometimes it flops. Everyone I met there is really nice so I'll keep from passing final judgement on this, but management needs to work out some better systems.
In any case a helluva good time and a great beer list.

We stopped by Golden Road Brewing for a lunch time meal and brew. They take up (3) warehouse spaces located in an industrial area between Burbank and Glendale. Each warehouse is slapped with a bright primary color paint job. Looks like a 'hipster' job for sure.
Atmosphere - Open & airy industrial feel. High ceilings of warehouse combined with large open patio on sunny day make great space for enjoying a refreshing brew. 'Country casual' picnic, retro beer signs, and clean industrial make for a classic & cool modern vibe. The lunch crowd was starting to pile in soon after we arrived, seems to be mostly younger business casual. Probably a fun spot after work place. Plenty of space to find a table. Would be more fun if they had standing height bar tables and music as well.
Quality - Food and beer selection both were of high quality. Had the Duck Confit sandwich, delicious. Not all the food is made to order, but it was still very fresh.
Service - Just stand in line and put your order in. The staff was fairly knowledgeable about the brew and food came out fast. Attitude was a wash. I did drop a "does your Saison have 'Brett' in it?" and received a, "that is a good question."
Selection - Simple menu of sandwiches and sides, which I prefer. Their own beer menu is accompanied by a list of guest kegs. The guest kegs were mostly local and very good (Green Flash, Hangar 24, Sierra Nevada, Stone, etc). Dig they are promoting the local scene. They even had a cask of their own IPA on tap. I had the Saison colab with Hangar 24. Pretty tasty.
Food - as mentioned, tasted fresh and it all looked very delicious. Gourmet sandwich and sides with craft beer on tap.
Value - Paid almost $20 for sandwich, tiny red leaf side salad, and pint. This is not Olive Garden, but you do the math. Even though it was delicious definitely over priced.
Overall - cool place to chill and grab some good food and beer. The set up and 'drinkable' beer menu sets will appeal to average joe and beer geeks. Off the beaten path, but probably have a promising future.

We visited Golden Road after eating dinner at Mohawk Bend (keeping it all in the family). There are 3 buildings to the brewery and I am not sure what they all are for but the yellow/orange one is the pub where you can get food and drinks. Inside the pub building it is a pretty big open space that looks like it may have been a storage facility or something before. Lots of cool old beer memorabilia adorn the walls and whatnot. All food and drinks need to be ordered at the bar and they will give you a pager to come pick up your food when it's ready. They only had 4 of their own beers on tap tonight and about 10 guest brews. They only serve beer in full pint sized pours. I really wish there were half pint and taster options available too. We got a bit of food here too and it was great. The quality of everything was also very good. Prices are reasonable for food and drink. Overall, this is a pretty neat place and I will be sure to come back when I am in the area.
