One of those slightly below standard euro lagers that doesn't have much wrong with it, but doesn't have much right for it as well. Pours from the can a pale straw colour, with about a thumb's worth of foam on top. After a couple minutes, the head disipates into a thin layer of bubbles, giving it the appearance of toilet water after someone urinated. Smell is what was expected. Slight malt sweetness, bit of lemon, bit of dry grass and a touch of floral aromas. Not too bad, but nothing stands out. Bland taste. Grains, grass, lemon, pepper, but all light. It doesn't taste watered down, just light. Their is very little flavour to be had in this beer. Mouthfeel is very thin, but overcarbonated. This is the only major downfall of the beer. The carbonation feels as though you are eating pop rocks while drinking this beer. I know that, sometimes, alot of carbonation is good, but for this beer it isn't. Drinkable? Well, it's drinkable in the same way water, pepsi, or sprite is drinkable. And I'd prefer water, pepsi or sprite. It wouldn't even make a good lawn mower beer. It's too dull and nonrefreshing. I wasn't expecting much from this beer, but I was expecting, something. The best thing I can say about this is, it isn't a horrible beer. Just boring.

Got it in can,i guess less better then in glass.

A - Nice big white head, pale orange color, few bubbles. Foam lasting more then few minutes.
S - Light citrus notes, pale malt. Nothing special in it.
T/M - Taste is more then decent, high bitter aftertaste, very close to Czech pilsner. Maybe a bit adjunct aftertaste, not so pleasant after you drink more then 2 cans. Also not so malty taste, but there is some decent amount of barley.
O - I know this is classic industrial EPL,but must admit that they made it more then fine.

From time to time i like to sip on a different macro-lager / pale lager so i can keep my quality referential rigorous and all encompassing. Also, i was curious to taste what i thought at the time was probably the most drank beer in Romania.

I had, of course, already heard mentions of this beer, on an online forum, by the ubiquitous user that insists in sharing his vast knowledge in beer by listing all the (macro) beers he's had in all the different countries he has been to.

This light yellow brew, emanates a very weak and bland aroma of noble hops and honey, the redeeming factor being that the aroma isn't all that unpleasant.

The taste doesn't really follow on the nose with strong vegetable and straw notes and a flat, slightly acidic, slightly bitter and watery palate.

Compared with other macro lagers / pale lagers i've tasted, it would probably rank in the bottom half overall and in the very last few when compared to only European counterparts.

500ml green bottle. Consume before: 16/11/11.

It pours a pale gold with a foamy white head. Typical and bland.

Smell is luckily not skunky. It isn't much though. Some honey notes and an actually decent hop aroma, there just needs to be more of it.

The taste is slightly tart with an okay hop bite. It is mostly malt, just a very bland malt. The hops are mostly just bitter with a hint of herbal character.

Run of the mill EPL, though not a bad one.

Gold transparent. Grassy hop nose with a friendly enough - some say even hop season - but unfortunately out of steam quickly in the mouth. Grassy side a little poorly managed, through a little sweetness. Is lost in traditional Czech side that we win as hops. The body is weak rapidly, as the finish, which is a little sad. However the beer is quite nice and much nicer than many lagers.

Had in bottle and on tap in two different bars while touring Romania in 2011 - the second sample only confirming my dislike! Thin, tasteless, gassy and acid - rather like UK brewed Fosters. Very pale colour, lively gassy head, no aroma to speak of, sure to give you heartburn! Just awful. Avoid.

Green half-litre bottle, reviewed just before it became out of date.

Mid gold, pilsner yellow, no head to talk about, or collar actually.

Another Romanian beer that should have stayed at home. I picked this up near my sons new place in London, i wish I hadn't.

No aroma, no taste and nothing going for it, a nothing beer. I suppose it could be called refreshing if you'd done manual labour for 20 hours and needed something wet to stop your mouth from drying out and your human organs dieing: otherwise give it a miss.

One of the most boring beers/lagers I've ever encounted.

The scores of 3 for looks and smell are my default numbers for a standard looking pils/lager and for the typical odourless ones too: otherwise I could have been a whole lot more cutting in my scoring.

Aroma
Not overly present, I think there's some light hop scent, grassy possibly some lemon I think. Get a bit of skunkiness also, but not too present.

Mouthfeel
Higher end of carbonation, same weight as water essentially but with carbonation.

Appearance
Pale straw, essentially clear to look through in a goblet. Poured to minimal head and quickly dissipated.

Taste
Light hit of hops, but no real bitterness. This is more american macro than european pilsener lager taste. Makes me think it has adjuncts in it.

Drinkability
With light mouthfeel on the palette and no real aftertaste it seems as drinkable as any regular american macro is, according to your preference.

Overall
Nothing exciting here. First imported beer I've had that was almost an exact copy of american macro brews I guess the business model could have been expected to work elsewhere

Pours a clear, pale blond color with a spotty, shortlived ivory head. A couple patches of lace stick to the glass. The aroma is light with grainy malt and some mint hops. The taste is sweet and uncomplicated. A decent amount of hops (keeping the style in mind) balance out the sweetness. The mouthfeel is light and highly carbonated. A slight bitterness makes up the short finish.

A very simple but easy to drink euro lager. No off flavors to me, so I'd suggest it as a lawnmower beer.

This is THE king of beer in Romania

Appearance: On tap, it pours a not-too-bad-looking pale straw color with a foamy one and a 2 finger head. Honestly, it's not too bad looking, and the head doesn't look so bad seems like Fosters , it doesn't taste as good as it looks.

Smell: Really not a lot in the way of smell, just some faint some sweet malts that seem almost artificial.

Taste: Tastes like some watered down grassy hops up front and finishes little bitter.

Mouthfeel: Not too bad. It's an adjunct lager, so what can you expect?

Drinkability: very refreshing and light is quite drinkable

Overall, this is a pretty standard light lager. It's nothing really special and I probably will never have it again.

This beer pours a clear medium straw colour, with two fingers of thin chunky white head, which leaves a soapy rinse of lace around the glass as it recedes. It smells of white grain, corn syrup, almost medicinal, and a bit of grassy hops. The taste has an astringent chemical edge, so much that the underlying grain, whatever it may be, is pretty much obscured, only evident via the sweetness still present. I sure would like to know what "choicest" translates from, as I can't see how it could be applied in the case of any of the faint skunky hops detectable in this brew. The carbonation is a bit high, the body medium weight, oily, and a bit slick. It finishes quite dry, that clammy, earthy, metallic, medicinal essence coming to bear again.

While it's not explicitly listed on the can, this screams out adjunct-laden swill, and premium at that. Perhaps a new category of "Euro Adjunct Lager" should be considered.

Pours clear golden yellow with a great big white head that settles to a quarter inch. A little lace, steady stream of big bubbles. Not bad looking, but after that pretty much weak-kneed.

Faint aroma of grain and alcohol. Taste corny with a slightly metallic finish. Not a particularly big flavour profile. Some slight lingering bitterness. Not offensive in any way, but dull, dull, dull. Suitable for washing down a sandwich or something.

Thanks to my sister for bringing this back from Romania with her...

For some reason when Winter hits I like Czech Pilsners so this is a little early but a good start on the season.

Aroma is skunked, but in the way a Czech pils should be. Taste follows up on this but has a perceptible corn or musty flavor to it that takes away from the crisp pils it would be otherwise.

Very average, but enjoyable. But from what I hear from my sister about Romania, you shouldn't complain about average.
