A nice variety of Midwest and west coast beers with local Omaha breweries well represented. Despite being quite busy the bartenders were on top of the game, prompt service each trip to the bar and took time to chat about my pending choices. Absolutely a must stop when in Omaha.

I know what you're thinking... "A perfect 5??? Bullshit." And yes, I'll agree, it may seem a little far-fetched, hard-to-believe, whatever, blah blah... There is a history here, though, that puts anything below a 5 out of the question for me.

A few good college buddies and I decided to give this place a try after one of us stumbled across it by chance on Urbanspoon one day. He thought it seemed like the perfect place, great beer, and possibly even more importantly, in a great neighborhood a few miles from campus, so as to avoid being bothered by the typical frat/sorority party crowd. We went in for the first time at midnight one snowy January night, just as the last of us had finally become "legal," and a few days after I turned 21, as well. The bare bulbs, hardwood, bar-length mirror, and let's not forget the elk head, just did it for us immediately. And we were astounded at the beer list! None of us had ever seen anything quite like it... Beers from all over the world, in styles we had never heard of. Taps and taps and taps... And botttles and bottles and bottles... To this day, I can count on one hand the number of other beer bars I have visited with a list as impressive as the one here.

We got to talking to Alex, the beertender, and the rest is history. For the next year and a half or so, until graduation, this was about the only bar we went to. I don't even want to think about how much money I spent at this place over that span.

Great neighborhood, great people, incredible atmosphere, and even better beer selection, with kickass bloodies and cocktails, to boot, along with some of the most knowledgeable beertenders/now friends I have come across yet. All in all, this is without a doubt my favorite bar, not just beer bar, bar period, on earth. It was a good couple of years... Very fond memories.

And sure, there is no food. It's a bar. Suck it up. This is among the best beer bars you are likely to ever come across. Do you really need food too? You can order it and have it delivered, dummy! Plus, come on, beer is really the only source of calories you ever need!

I believe Krug Park to be the best craft beer bar in Nebraska, and one of the best in the Midwest.

The decor is nice, the bar is clean and not cluttered.
Numerous taps abound. If I had to guess I'd say, 20-25 taps. And I'd say over 200 bottled or canned beers.

You can bring in or order food from several nearby places. The best bet for food is Lot 2, which is right next door, and you can bring it in. Lot 2 sources a ton of food locally and from farmers using sustainable practices.

All in all, about my favorite destination for my kind of beer, which is of course craft.

A relatively new addition to a revived section of town. Krug Park offers a vast selection of high-quality craft beers. As the name suggests, it ties in with the historic Krug Park started by the Krug Brewery in Omaha (1859-1936) with historical photos celebrating the heritage.

Krug Park offers over 50 beers on tap and nearly 200 bottles from many popular craft breweries. Consistently offers micro-brews from around the country and has a decent representation of local (Nebraska based) breweries. Krug Park utilizes appropriate glassware for various styles and maintains a clean establishment.

The back deck offers a "biergarten" feel during warm periods; very cozy. The interior has a historic feel and promotes a good social environment. While they do not have a dedicated kitchen, the adjacent lot2 restaurant offers menu items available for take-out.

Overall a very nice establishment in the thriving Benson neighborhood.

Great service, selection, location, ambiance, staff, etc., etc.! I completely agree with the previous posts about this place.

The only downers are that they don't serve any food and there is typically not enough seating to accommodate the popularity of the place on the weekends.

If you are looking for a great beer-lovers location in Omaha or are traveling through you need to stop in. With 50+ beers on tap you won't be disappointed in the selection. If I owned a bar it would be modeled after Krug Park.

A great new bar in the Benson area. 50 taps is an absurd amount by any measure, but then they had to go and add a huge selection of bottles as well. You will find something you are happy with. They have great craft beers from all over the world that seem to cover most if not all styles of beer (including sprecher root beer, hah!). Some of the staff are much more knowledgeable than others, but all are friendly and helpful.

The place has a nice clean look to it too, almost like a classy after hours saloon from the 1920's. Dim lighting and cool old antique photos on the brick walls all over, a giant elk skull...also there is a nice small patio out back to enjoy your drink on a nice warm afternoon/eve Their ever-revolving beer list can be looked upon a large chalk board or in their large menu. I've only had one out of their large selection of bloody mary's and it was delicious, though I am not a connoisseur of blody mary's...

Beer lover's living in Omaha or travelling through would be missing out by not stopping in for at least one or two beers while you were here.

Krug Park is a brand new beer bar, with their grand opening just last weekend. (though they've been soft-opened for a month).

Easily the best tap list in Omaha, surpassing Crescent and the others without much trouble.

Beer selection is superb, with 50 or so taps and several pages of bottle brews. Prices are quite reasonable as well.

Service is fine, with some staff members that know every single beer and can make recommendations.

Unfortunately, Krug Park doesn't serve food. Most states have laws where bars must serve substantive food items so long as alcohol is served, i was surprised how much I dislike bars that don't even serve a crumb of food. I'm sure they don't have room for a kitchen, but after a second pint, I wish I had some fries, a cheese plate, pretzels, anything. It's BYOB and there is a restaurant or two in the benson area that can deliver, but it's a pain in the ass.

Aside from the llack of food, Krug Park has easily become our favorite bar.
