On tap at Bailey's Range in St. Louis. 7/2/12
A - Poured a clear, copper color with a one-finger, off-white head of foam. It left some sudsy patches of lace on the glass.
S - It smelled spiced with good rye bread notes.
T - Spicy up front with some sweetness. Rye bread and caramel flavors are nice.
M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied ale with a dry finish.
O - This is a pretty tasty rye beer. I liked the spicy character.

on tap as the guest offering at 4 hands brewing. pours clear brown to caramel colored with a lacey white head with nice retention. smells like way more rye than the divided sky at 4 hands. the rye is right up front as the feature malt and there is not much hops to balance it out. flavor is all malt no hops, with the rye imparting a pleasantly mild spice characteristic and a fresh baked bread sort of depth and comfort. really nice. the feel was good not great, a little thin on the body and a little light on the carbonation in my opinion. these beers however are traditional english style ales (or so im told), so that is excusable here. overall one of the better rye beers ive had, tons of flavor, nice and smooth, easy drinking. i am already looking forward to my next pint of this.

On-tap at the brewery.
A - Pours a darker orange color, cream-colored head, thin ring.
S - Lighter dose of bitter hops, some citrus, very light rye notes. I was hoping for a bit more hops & rye, as I love this combo, but I think both are lacking on the nose.
T - Rye, malts, hops, citrus. Again, the rye and hops could be a little more forward here. Nice light hops...very subtle. Finish is a mix of malts and rye with a touch of bitterness.
M - Light, good carbonation, malty dry finish.
O - A decent Rye Beer, but could use a little more hops and rye notes to increase the "umph". That said, not all too bad...decent.

A - Pours a real nice dark amber color with a nice creamy off-white head.
S - Tons of rye notes fill the nose with some nice spice and some fresh baked bread notes. Real toasty. Nice hop aroma follows this grainy notes.
T & M - Taste is real spicy but there is a nice slight caramel malt balance along with the rye notes. Very delicious brew. The hops really stand out with a nice fresh grassy flavor and a nice bitter bite that adds to the rye spice in a very pleassing way. This beer was very fresh. Great job.
O - Veary pleassing bre. Nice and flavorful butvery easy to drink. Nice and low ABV. Good flavored beers dont need to be abv bombs. Theae guys understan nuance.

Poured from the tap a dark amber tone with a creamy off-white head.
Aroma has a big rye profile with light hops and grainy malts.
The rye dominates the palate along with a bit of spice, a hit of bitter bite and grainy malts.
Medium bodied with a sharp carbonation.
This one will hit the spot for anyone that loves a good rye beer.
