Ok, an aluminum bottle....but it's really a can with a screw top. I'm calling it a can, but I suppose it's a bottle. But it's a can....grrrr...Anywho, it's Oskar Blue's version of the collaboration with Sunking in Indiana.
Pours a dark copper, light brown, amber color. Off white head is soft and dense. Lacing is light
Caramel and orchard fruits. Some spice and sugar.
Most obvious in the taste is the yeast. Some Belgian spices up front. The malt takes over in the middle to provide the bread with the spice. Caramel and red apples come in with a dash of smoke and hickory. This one is closer to a dubbel than a pale, but I was told it's a pale. The hops that OB is known for are there, but not in any dominating way. They do provide a crispness on the end and a hint of grass and pine.
A solid beer overall. Reminds me a bit of Fat Tire, but darker and less bready, with more spice. So I guess it doesn't remind me of Fat Tire at all.

Pours a clear amber-rust color with a foamy off-white head. Head retention is solid with good lacing. Aroma is of Belgian yeast spice and cloves. The flavor profile follows suite with an addition of banana. Medium consistency, that is smooth for the mouth feel. Overall, it's a very tasty brew.
Served in a 4oz straight glass.

I was given a screw-top can of this by my mom's friend who lives in Broomfield, CO. No bottling date. This was a gusher! Blew its top all over the place.
Look: Medium-dark amber.
Smell: Smells strongly of wild yeast and malt.
Taste: Very malty and yeasty. Very little hops. Bready. Almost like a cross between a Belgian ale and a German doppelbock.
Feel: Medium body and high carbonation. Crisp finish.
Overall: Pretty good. An interesting take on a Belgian ale.
