Poured from the tap into a branded chalice at De Halve Maan Brewery in Bruges. You can only get the unfiltered version here at the brewery.
A: A cloudy deep orange color with a 1.5 finger offwhite head with moderate retention.
S: Slightly hoppy character - floral with touches of light fruit. Some balancing malt in there, but subtle and faint. A slight toastiness.
T: Not my favorite, but not bad overall. The taste is subtle and slightly watery. Lemon rind and zest with some yeast and light fruits. Seems to almost lack any sort of backbone. Finish is long and slightly spicy.
Overall pretty unimpressive flavorwise, but very drinkable and a nice treat at the brewery itself. Better than the regular version.

Drank on-tap at De Halve Maan Brewery, Brugge, Belgium
Served in a signature Brugse Zot stemmed glass
According to our tour guide, this unfiltered version of Brugse Zot is served only at the brewery.
Cloudy, yellowish-amber in appearance with a bubbly, two-finger head that faded to a lasting ring.
The nose was crisp and dry. Powdery and yeasty with notes of citrus and spice. Coriander was definitely noticeable.
The taste was similar to the aroma. Citrusy, crisp and dry up front. Somewhat spicy in the center. Wheaty. The finish was quite refreshing. Very dry with notes of citrus fruits and earthy, bittering hops.
The mouthfeel was medium bodied for the style with a lively, big bubbled effervescence. Somewhat creamy and frothy on the palate.
This is a light, refreshing and easy drinking brew. A perfect thirst quencher on a warm, Brugge afternoon.

This unfiltered version is only available at the brewery.
Consumed at De Halve Maan brewery in Brugges on 4/24/10.
From notes....
Appearance: Hazy pale wheat blond with a light orange sun burst in the center. The crown is 2 fingers, white, shows little retention and some light lace.
Smell: Slight coriander meets pale malt over a wheat like base.
Taste: Same as nose with slight bubblegum note as it warms.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, light, refreshing, simple.
Drinkability: Outstanding.
