A 330ml bottle with a BB of Jan 2015. Purchased in Bruges last year while visiting the city (it survived the return flight, unlike my bottle of Straffe Hendrik). Brings back memories of Brugge!

Poured into a Delirium chalice. Bottle conditioned. A hazy golden-amber hue with plentiful carbonation. Yields a large head of fluffy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before collapsing to a surface layer. Aroma of fruity Belgian yeast with hints of light malt, grass/hay, spice, earthiness and a warming whiff of booze. Pleasantly rounded.

Tastes of light caramel malt with a yeasty character and a dry finish. Notes of fruity yeast esters, mild banana, grass/hay, earthiness, subtle spice and stewed hops. Well-attenuated, with a hint of alcohol in the background followed by a restrained, leafy bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth, dry and tingly, with good body and nicely-judged carbonation. Lightly astringent, with an aftertaste of earthy yeast, fruity esters and mild stewed hops.

A rather lovely brew that goes down all too easily. It looks great, and the aroma/flavour are balanced and satisfying. Earthy, fruity yeast esters and subtle hop notes mingle to produce a solidly crafted Belgian pale ale. The body is spot on. Very drinkable, and if I lived in Belgium I could easily imagine this becoming a regular fridge beer. Well worth sampling if you come across it (though I recommend trying it in Bruges).

An increasingly popular Belgian Blonde.
Production capacity was increased by implementing a 3,2 km pipeline allowing more volume of beer transport from the centre of the lovely historically city of Bruges, Flanders, Belgium.
330 ml brown glass bottle, label slightly different as depicted, 6% abv.
Poured at 6-7 degrees celcius in a bulb glass.
High carbonation, micro bubbles, 2-3 finger white head with long lasting retention.
Micro bulbs and a great amber colour.
Not a pale ale, but I would classify this as a Belgian Blonde, yes even when being amber.
Smell, fresh bread, malt tones and a bit tanginess from yeast. Not too dominating, just teasing the tongue.
Taste follows smell. Bit of tnaginess up front, light on sweetness, bitter hopiness in aftertaste.
Mouth feel balanced, fresh, a bit on the ligt side, making this a very drinkable beer. But mind you, it has more kick than normal pilsener/lager.

This beer drinks like a pint but is surely an upgrade and much more balanced. One of the best Belgian Pale Ales around, can't go wrong with this one. Cheers!

330ml Bottle - Pours a straw/honey colour with decent carbonation and 2 finger white foam head that quickly dissipates. Primary aroma is of citrus peel or zest and a bit of an earthy scent. Tastes of spice, citrus and faint earthy notes. A solid beer.

From notes.
Pours a golden orange, mild haze. The smell is very mild , mainly yeast maybe orange and the taste is mild , a citrus sharpness is present as the yeast holds its own and there's a creaminess . The mouthfeel is thick and buttery ,light carbonation. Overall good , a little too astringent for me but nice nonetheless.

11.2oz bottle. Best by date stamped on label is '14-05-2024'.
Slightly cloudy, deep gold colored body. Three fingers of white head quickly reduce to a thin cap. Thin strings of lacing are left behind.
Aroma is citrus and esters that express banana and cloves.
Taste is led by the esters - banana, cloves, and a little spice. Also has a citrus note.
Medium mouth feel. Champagne texture, with swishing in the mouth leading to lots of bubbles. Very good carbonation.
Enjoyable ale with the Belgian yeast esters. Slightly sweet yet dry in the finish.

On tap at The Publick House in Boston, MA.

This one pours a golden straw yellow color, with a small foamy head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like banana, citrus, clove, and grassiness.

This falls a little bit flat on the finish, but the yeast character is really enjoyable, with a touch of creamy banana, a medium amount of clove and grassy spicing, and some light orange and lemon.

This is kind of thin – creamy up front, but it gets watery on the finish. It’s still pretty drinkable all in all.

I wanted to like this more, but it was pretty solid nonetheless.
