Awesomw biergarten, free parking, and a free tour as well! Came on my fiance's birthday and received a free glass and tokens to drink. The glasses, shirts, and beer tokens were all quite affordable (and we got them all). The tour was my favorite I've had yet out of any in Texas, based on the ~4 breweries I've toured. Their research room was super cool to see and they have a complex system of quality control that goes into these awesome beers. Got to try Rodeo Clown and Hop Delusion at reduced prices (1 token) because the bartenders were so cool. Food was pretty good, but portions could've been larger for the price. The beers in the restaurant were quite expensive, so we decided to keep our drinking to the token system in the biergarten. Aside from that small complaint, which is justified IMO as beer straight from the brewery should at least be as cheap as it is at the atore, this is still my favorite brewery in Texas and has a special place in my heart. Happy 5th birthday, the Quintuple IPA is incredible!

Great food selection. Like the fact that there is a restaurant and a biergarten. Beer selection was good, but there may have been a couple beers I really wanted to try that weren't on tap. To be fair, these are more seasonal or rotating beers.

Fun place. Mostly all outdoor seating at picnic tables, unless you eat at the restaurant. Had a band performing last time i was here so it was kind of loud. Had a 9oz or 16oz glass and token system. Brewery tour was pretty typical but pretty cool to see their new-er barrel program.

Stopped by Karbach during business trip to Houston. So much more than I expected. Huge campus that has plenty of parking and still needed valet parking to handle volume of patrons. Large well set up and attractive restaurant and larger outside bier garden. Glass and tokens system outside works very well for sipping brews in 16oz or 9oz pours. Specialty i.e. High octane / more complex beers take a few more tokens. But system is fair and easy to get your choices. Bier garden beer tenders are happy to pour some tastes; music is pumping; food truck is filling the bill; people are kicking back at picnic tables or playing corn hole. Basically all good and plenty of reason to stop by...often. Inside setting is quieter and food is "in house" and very good. Also...a barrel aged beer is a routine pour and additional beer choices show up.
This is clearly a go to place for socializing; enjoying a good meal and enjoying plenty of good brews. It also is a worthy stop for those of us who want savor some big complex stouts, imp porters or DIPAs, etc.
Don't skip if in the area.

Awesome awesome, got a $12 package for free, gifted for my 21st birthday. Vibe is energetic yet professional. Honestly has gotten me the most hopped of the 3 breweries I've had the pleasure of visiting today.

Recently expanded, Karbach has really come into it's own as a force to be reckoned with in the Houston brewing community, certainly enough so to challenge St. Arnolds for their crown. The brewery is a nice, open outdoors location in north central Houston, with a full service restaurant separate from the tap room and brewery itself.
The taproom is a small affair, much less fancy than St. Arnolds but with a good selection still, surrounded by a goodly amount of chairs and benches for relaxing outside when it's not 100 degrees. The guys manning the taps are knowledgeable and overall friendly, possibly a tad bit shallower in their knowledge than their St. Arnolds counterparts, but they provided a good service nonetheless. The tasting, also, is a disturbingly good value, with it running circa $12 for a souvenir pint glass and 3 fills, more than enough to get you happy, especially considering some of the ABVs on offer.
The restaurant was the true standout though, rivaling many dedicated food establishments in quality and price. Your standard brewery giant pretzel was on offer, along with a surprisingly wide menu showcasing many different Houston flavors. The Korean Fried Chicken was absolutely fantastic, as were the fish and chips on offer. $12-15 a plate but worth it for the quality, Karbach has a definite leg up on any other brewery in the area with regards to food.
Overall a wonderful place to visit in the Houston area, with great food and delicious beer on tap. I didn't go on the brewery tour, so I can't speak to that, but their brewing facilities looked sleek and modern so it would surely be an interesting experience as well. Highly recommended.

Karbach has become one of the better breweries in the Houston Metroplex. The new location is nice. Someone must have done their research and traveled the country looking at what quality breweries look like.
The beer selection is great. It does get packed so be prepared. The staff is friendly and will to help with selections of beer and food. The food is good. Nothing over the top but typical brewery fair. Good stuff!
