Serving type - 22oz caged and corked bottle

Appearance - Dark tan/black with a monster 5+ inch creamy, foamy head and tons of lacing.

Smell - Roasted malts, creamy chocolate, chili's, raisin, honey, molasses, brown sugars, smoke, spices.

Taste - First sip is a nice mix of chili warmth, sugars, honey, cinnamon, ginger, some fruits and a little chocolate. Not overly sweet but fairly warm. Plenty of honey and ginger in each sip. The chocolate is masked under the chili and sugars but still is noticeable. The spices add a little Belgium like flavor.

Mouthfeel - The malts and chili coat the tongue with roasty and warmth flavors. Palate gets more of the same with sugars, honey and fruits. The aftertaste is a little malty and smokey.

Overall - Different, but enjoyable. Not as chocolate forward as you might expect. Really does have chili warmth along with lots of cinnamon and spice. This reminds me of a winter warmer more then a milk stout. I like it, a nice change up from standard chili stouts, glad I got to try and would drink again.

Thanks to cw577enfield for this one!

A swampy, coffee brown body produces a full four fingers of lively khaki tan head. Naturally, tons of lace with gushing beading beneath.

Some very apparent cola aromas with ginger, milk chocolate and spice. Interesting.

Again... it's interesting. A prickly cola mouthfeel is layered with tobacco, cocoa, molasses, cream, and a smoky chipotle pepper on the finish. I'm shocked to learn that there are Scotch Bonnets and Habaneros involved. I don't get the sort of spice you would expect from those varieties but, thankfully, I also don't get any vegetative substitutes. Mildly spicy with a touch of BBQ smoke.

Thanks for the opportunity to try this unique beer!

I was very anxious to try this beer and finally got the opportunity.

A: weak coffee brown in color. Light tan head with overflowing carbonation. Color kinda looks more like a dark ale than anything.

S: I get a faint cocoa aroma on the nose. And I had to take several whiffs to get that. There's nothing present to make me think there will be pepper heat to it. Maybe the smell of some green bell pepper.

T: Very difficult to find the cocoa taste that I smelled a minute ago. I can't find anything chocolate in it. I taste nothing spicy that the label or name would imply. I'm waiting for a little pepper sting on the back end and it never shows. I'm tasting the vegetable flavor of a pepper but no "heat". I let it sit for s while to warm up hoping the anticipated flavors show up. No change with temp. Belgian yeast flavors very present.

M: Very thin for a stout or a porter. Carbonation just keeps coming like pop rock candy.

Overall... this drinks more like a dark belgian ale. Not a bad beer but nothing like the name and label would imply.

Body is a dense mahogany, pours with a huuge head, overflowed from the glass after a few ounces poured.

Smells of spicy fresh garden veggies, lactose, dry cocoa. Pretty unusual.

Yeah...fresh veggies, lots of lactose, unsweetened cocoa, hints of coffee.

Super carbonated for a stout, pretty drinkable for what it is.

Ain't no Hunahpu's or Abraxas, but pretty good.

6.7/10

A: very dark brown hue. Light carb and quickly disappearing head.

S: faint chili pepper and roasty chocolate w/ a tiny anoint of sourish milk

T: milk and milk chocolate, small roast and the perfect amount of back of the tongue chili heat. This double chocolate milk stout with peppers is just odd. The milk and chilis fight one another and the chilis outlast the milk.

M: very smooth, great carb for this style.

O: weird, unique, very cool to try with fromeds for the money. Under 10$ for a 750Ml.
