A crisp, dry and refreshing summer beer. Brewed with BC raspberries for a full nose and crisp finish, this beer pairs well with sunglasses and patios.

I picked up a bottle of this to try. Figured what the hey.

It came in a brown 650ml bottle. I was surprised to pour it and see its red. Well it says its made with raspberry's heh.

Looks like a dark rose, (copper colored when held to the light) It has good clarity. It also has an off white head that recedes quickly.

When I initially smelt it I was not impressed. It's faint and not especially pleasant.

I almost regretted buying it after that but thankfully the taste was better than the smell. What an interesting taste. Not the the typical wheat beer taste. I actually don't find it to be very beer like at all. I can pick up the fruityness of the berrys. A faint sweetness. But it also seems kinda washed out or too watery.

Overall Id say its not bad and certainly drinkable. But I have to say it has the potential to be better.

Pours a pinky gold colour, headless. Faint fieldberry smell. The raspberry flavour is present in the background but this is not a fruity beer by any means. Spice, perhaps cloves dominate the taste. Nice carbonation level

Clear brown-orange color with a medium height pink head. The head was made of fine bubbles even as it collapsed down to a thin skiff after about a minute. Medium-low flow of tiny and medium sized bubbles rising from the bottom. Left no lacing.

Mild raspberry smell with an equal amount of medium-light roasted malt. Sweet with a bit of a tart undertone. Slight funky yeast scents mixed in. Swirling the glass kicked up a bit of barnyard or horse blanket that slowly faded away leaving slightly muted versions of the original scents.

Starts with a raspberry and slight citrus (lemon or orange) flavor blended with a medium-strong malt flavor. The malt was much more robust than expected for a wheat ale. Slightly tart with the sweet. As it warms up, the raspberry tastes a bit over-cooked. A mild barnyard/horse blanket shows up when it crosses the back of my tongue with each swallow. The aftertaste is of a bit of barnyard with some bitters. The overcooked raspberry returns after the barnyard dies down a bit.

Slowly foams up; creates a bit more foam than I would expect from the visual level of carbonation. Medium body. Slightly astringent.

Berries are hard to work with. They almost always over-cook, creating a slight burned caramel flavor that overwhelms the light berry flavor. This has much less burn than other berry flavored beers, but it is enough to taste a bit off. There is also a bit too much barnyard; the level in the Solaris Peach is more appropriate, although it could be the difference between the peach and raspberry flavors that brings the barnyard out. The hint of obscure citrus flavor (from the hops?) is nice and the color is interesting, especially with a fresh pink head.

Large 473 ml can from Vancouver on a BC ferry. 5% ABV.
This wheat ale has a well balanced mix of wheat, hop and raspberry flavors. Mild bitterness and a touch tart. Medium-light body with lively, medium+ carbonation.

Back for the summer of 2018, this beer was an enjoyable first foray into the slew of summer beers that are expected to fill all of our shelves. A straightforward raspberry wheat beer with nice raspberry notes hitting the nose and palate at every drink. There was some leftover wheat flavour on the tongue that was a bit of a downer but overall I enjoyed.

It's not amazing but could you pass these out at the BBQ and be a hit; yes!

Paired with Gary John Bishop's Unfu*k Yourself.

A- The color is quite spectacular....that being a deep copper brown with red tinges....the head is very well retained, is quite dense and soap like and loving the color, which is white with pink hues involved! The lacing is quite mild to moderate....the foam tries to cling but doesn't quite make it....too hard to tell what the carbonation is like in the murk!

S- Full on fresh raspberries take front of the line in the aroma! There is a creamy, yeasty quality that reminds me fully of raspberry creamsicleand a fresh grainy wheat malt presence, along with the sweet barley malt to help compliment the mild tartness of the berries. Hop bitterness is minimal on the finish or throughout period....very nice smells in general.

T- Tart raspberry flavors that remind me of freshly picked fruit straight from the orchard! Biscuit like creamy yeasty bread like smoothness....somewhat dry grains due to the wheat and balancing sweet barley malt help round this out on the palate....the finish is slightly bittering but it's not very overpowering.

M/O- Solid medium body, and super refreshing! This is a great summertime beer, however, it is well enjoyed even on a cool breezy night in November.....the alcohol is tucked away and the fresh fruit nature along with sweet malts and creamy yeast make this almost dessert like on it's own and is paired nicely with a raspberry/lemon cake! Recommended!
