The appearance of this brew is a solid golden color that is very cloudy with no head and no lacing on the glass at all.
The smell is very piney with a hint of citrus.
This beer tastes like a porcupine banged a pine cone on top of a pineapple, while an orange watched...but seriously, the pine flavor is over the top! Followed by the sweet and slightly pungent citrus that an orange has. Really powerful stuff!
The mouthfeel is a little carbonated with a very bitter finish. Does not go down smooth and leaves your palette very dry...and thirsting for more!
This is a very solid india pale ale at 7.2% ABV and 85 IBU (the website has it listed at 6.5% and 60 IBU but the "beerboard" at the brewery had these statistics for the beer). Not really unique in the world of IPA's but it is well crafted and good to see a local brewery pulling this kind of stuff off.

On tap at max's last night.
The beer pours an orange amber color with fairly good head retention and lacing. The nose imparts some dry citrus, cereal grain and light malt (this beer smells as if it will be fairly dry - which it is). The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, and while nice, a bit more hoppy bitterness would have been nice (the menu at Max's lists this as an IPA). Mouhtfeel is otherwise medium bodied, and the beer has a fairly crisp, clean finish. Alcohol is well disguised... I would not have guessed this was a 7% abv. beer.
While nothing extraordinary, I thought this a nice enough beer from this "new to me" brewery.
