This is a relatively small place, and mostly for locals. They advertise 120 brands of beer, but a large number of these are simply major American lagers, and most of their offerings are in bottles. The place could almost be called a "dive". I was not very impressed. If you are in the neighborhood visiting Barley's (brewpub) or Sunset Station, then you might stop in for a cold one, but otherwise it is not really worth going out of your way.

This review is based on a visit of over a year ago. If I revisit this place, I will update my review if necessary.

I became a Beer Battalion member in just under a year. Although it has been just over a year since I last visited the place, I feel I can give a thoughtful review. Basically because I was there every week for a year and things didn't change and even after I became a member of the Battalion.

The place can be categorized as a dive. Most people that prefer to avoid smoke filled bars even with high vaulted ceilings should avoid this bar if they have any objections to smoke. The choices of beer were great and I never asked for a beer they didn't have readily available.

They had the big three of the Chimay selections (red, white and blue labels) that was a part of the 120 beers required to become a member of the battalion. They have a good representation of beers from the world arena. It was a great place to get my feet wet with the variety of beers chilled and readily available. The service and the establishment was something more to be desired.
