A: Cornelius arrived a hazed over golden amber color. Has a nice glowing peach hue to it. Capped with a good finger of some stubborn white sea foam. Leaves sticky etches of lace clinging to the glass

S: Smell is pungently hoppy and redolent with citrus fruit. Grapefruit and gooseberries with a bit of tropical fruit mix. Some dank florals and a light lemony pine. Very clean, fresh, and aromatic.

T: An intense hop bitterness up front with flavors that seem to be showcasing Citra – dominant with grapefruit, orange, and gooseberry. There is a nice tropical twist of spiced guava mixed in and the finish brings forth more of a dank lemony herb note. Bitterness mellows as the drink progresses. Malt lends to a soft doughy bread counterpart with a light caramel sweetness. More than likely a dextrose boost here. The sweetness is providing a nice balance. Some warming alcohol noticeable but I would have never guessed as high as 9.6%. Hops linger long after the drink. This is quite nice.

M: Nice moderate body with a creamy texture overall. Even carbonation provides a good crisp dry snappy finish. Resinous with hop oils.

D: A Big west coast DIPA that packs a nice Citra punch. Yet drinks incredible smooth for the ABV’s. Bold hop flavors with enough malt character to really bring it all together.

This was definitely a stand out of for me.
