It pours an opaque very dark brown. But, it's dark in here in the Small Bar in central San Diego. Poured in an 11 oz. tulip glass because this sissy wasn't trying to drink too much before his big brewery tour tomorrow. The light mocha head attenuates relatively quickly, but leaves spiderweb patterns on the edge of the glass. Pungent coffee on the nose. Wow! Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with adequate creaminess for the style. There's a lot of sweetness to this beer, but I wouldn't call it sweet. It's a caramel macchiato without the creamer. Much, much creamier and fuller than a caramel flavored coffee alone. This one's a keeper.

Described as a Caramel Coffee Stout. On tap at Sublime Alehouse.
A: Black with a frothy light brown head.
S: Earthy, nutty coffee with molasses and roasted malt. Caramel, bittersweet dark chocolate.
T: Chocolate, caramel, roasted grains, and a well integrated coffee profile. The caramel is an interesting touch. Lower moderate bitterness with notes of earth.
M: Upper medium body with matching carbonation. Dry and sticky mouthfeel.
