Bottle shared at GRG1313’s tasting.
Bottle # 8037-2011.
Pours a murky orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with tea and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Thanks to kubrick215 for sharing.
Pours a hazy dark blood orange color with tangerine edges and a 2.5 finger frothy white head that has excellent retention, only slowly fading into a lasting cap. Streaks and chunks of soapy lacing left behind.
Complex aroma with earthy and citrus hops, light fruit, pine needle, alcohol, oak barrel and spicy peppers. Toasted oak at first with hop oils and resinous pine notes. Slight chalky pepper presence with light fruit, citrus zest, pepper, damp wood and bready yeast.
Medium bodied with dry oak and sticky hop bitterness that lingers throughout. Earthy and resinous pine needle flavor with citrus fruit, pale malts, biscuit, caramel, dry oak and a subtle boozy barrel character. Slight dryness but sweet alcohol and fruit notes balance things out. Pepper presence lingers in the finish but isn't noticeable otherwise. Decent but doesn't really stand out other than having a strange combo of flavors.

Pours a hazy gold, slightly viscous with a smallish half finger head. Average retention and nearly no lacing.
Honey, sweet light fruit, muscat, apple, canned pear syrup , sticky sweet malt. No much hops in this perhaps a hint of lemon
Sticky malt, rather sweet with pancake batter dough, lots of fruit in this pear, apple sauce, white grape juice, a bit mellow in the finish with slight grass and lemon. Slick finish with a huge amount of booze.
A touch under carbonated, medium heavy body for the color and huge amounts of alcohol, really doesn't do well here.
I like the creativity that went into this beer but alot of the ingredients are under represented, I didn't get much of the oak or the green chilies and this beer is much too heavy for the rice and wheat components to shine. Interesting but really not a very impressive beer overall it would've hurt to have this one at 6% instead of 9.5%

Poured a golden honey color. Smelled of citrus, toffee, malt and booze.
You can definitely taste the citrus as well as the honey and a hint of spice, the alcohol presence is there but not overpowering. Alot of complex other flavors mingling in. Never had anything quite like it before, but I like it! Would definitely buy another bottle.

Shared by raveskdr. Thanks Chris.
The beer is golden orange hued and mildly hazy with a quarter inch of head. The aroma brings citrus, toffee, malt, booze. A bit sweet with a touch of honey perhaps. Alcohol presence is there throughout. Medium bodied with appropriate carbonation. Overall, I thought this was ok.

Poured from 750ml corked and caged bottle into Globe glass.
A. Pours a 4 finger head. Thick lacing. Solid retention. Color is a hazy golden yellow.
S. Yeast, honey, sweet malt, candied fruit, oak, earthiness. Really delicous smelling beer. Really quite a bit of smells going on in the aroma of this beer. Overall a pretty sweet yeasty smelling beer.
T. A vast array of flavors. Sweet and dry malt flavors. You get a full depth of flavor all the way across the tongue, from intial sip to swallow the flavors change. Light fruit, crystal malt, honey, oak, wood, a hint of vanilla. Pretty cool to have a beer that is sweet and dry at the same time.
M. Medium bodied. Meidum carbonation. Finishes pretty dry.
O. Interesting beer. I liked this quite a bit. Its pretty hard to describe all of the individual componets, but the beer as a whole is really good. Interested to see how this one might develop over time.

A: no head on a golden with brownish hues body.
S: aroma is very light with oak, pineapple, orange and belgian yeast.
T: palate follows the nose with light oak, caramel, belgian yeats, light corriander and other herbs, hints of chardonnay and corn with very light grass notes mostly from the hops.
M: medium to high carbonation and light to medium body.
Overall: nice belgian character. strangely this one is so complex that it is hard to pick out all of the flavors with some running together making it seem simple. This is a great brewery though, one of the best.

A - Pours with a small head of white foam on top of a slightly hazy, golden body. The foam settles fairly quickly and leaves light traces of lace on the glass.
S - fruity and spicy notes of licorice, pepper, red apple and pine with a touch of vanilla.
T - thick, bready malt up front with notes of plum and red apple. Some licorice character in the middle and a finish of graham cracker, dark fruit, vanilla, and more black licorice.
M - a fairly thick body, moderately low carbonation, and a somewhat sweet finish.
D - interesting and complex (as a beer that is apparently made of five different beers blended together should be). They character of the various barrels and casks barley asserts itself, but the base beer is well made and has an excellent spicy yeast character that carries everything else. Overall it is worth a try, but it is no tragedy that this is a one time brew.

A - Pours a slightly hazy golden colour, thumb of head with solid retention and chunky lacing.
S - Sweet citrus, cloves, pineapple and mango with a hint of musty wooden oak.
T - A sweet pineapple hop flavour, the barrel aging comes through nicely with wooden flavors complementing ripe fruit flavors, citrus notes and a touch of honey on the finish. Hints of peppery spice linger alongside a bready malt. The ABV is almost undetected, offering up a touch of sweetness.
M - Lighter bodied ale that goes down smooth and finishes with a touc of dryness.
O - A tasty brew well worth indulging in. Complex flavour profile that lets you discover a plethora of flavors throughout the experience. Glad they had one of these left on the shelf.

Poured from a 750ml bottle into a Sam Adams perfect pint.
This guy's traveled quite away out of Odell's regional footpoint, let's see how it holds up. RegionAle pours a briskly carbonated yellow-orange color with a finger of head. The aroma is very citrus-dominant, it almost smells like a more citrus heavy IPA, even this long after bottling. There's also oak, wheat, and a bit of spice. The taste is rather complex while remaining citrus heavy. A decent amount of hops still remain. There's some fruits and honey in here, as well as plenty of adjuncts. Chilis hang out in the back, providing just a little spice. The late finish is woody with a bit of booze. Sweet, but not too sweet. The mouthfeel is rather light and crisp for the ABV, and the drinkability is good. Overall, this is a solid and complex ale, especially for those looking for some "lighter" flavors in a strong ale. It kind of reminds me of Lagunitas' Lucky 13.alt in that way, even if their flavor profiles are rather different.

Finally got around to opening this one after sitting in the back of the fridge for the last couple months. Poured from bottle into large 25oz glass
A - Lots of fluffy white head on this one. Had to wait Great clarity with a brown orange.
S - Pineapple upside down cake comes first and strong. Get some citrus and crispness
T - Refreshing tropical crispness up front. Booze is present on back end, but not overpowering. Honey flavors come through somewhere in the middle, and blends in with the booze at the back
M - Medium Heavy Mouthfeel does well to cover up a lot of the booze. Medium levels of carbonation
O - Kind of has flavors all over the place, and has quite a bit more citrus than I was expecting here for a strong ale, but I would say overall I enjoyed the experience.
