Poured on tap into a shaker pint glass. Served with an orange. Dislike.
A real nice semi orange body kind of cloudy, real nice with very slow plentiful rising carbonation. Very creamy top off white laces with large chunks of coating sheets. Very impressive looking.
Nose smells like creamy blue moon but toned down. Chewy wheat malt but a hint of tang artificial powder juice. Mild sense of bile hides in the back.
On taste the palate coats with lots of wheat chew and density. Creamy feel but with lots of orange sweetness. Chewy malt finishes with lots of coating but the sweetness lingers slightly. Carbination is just slightly hinted, but gives lots of gas unfortunately.
Overall this reminds me too much of Blue Moon but far superior even if it isnt Witbier. Unfortunately this isnt a beer i want to ever have again from this brewery i really love.

On tap poured into a 4 oz sampling glass
A - Poured a yellow-orange, unfiltered color leaving a short head (some froth). Average carbonation.
S – A light scent of sweet citrus and banana.
T - A taste of sweet malt and biscuits followed by some spiciness with a slightly earthy finish.
M – Medium body that remains wet throughout the tasting experience.
D – One of the sweeter wheat beers lacking the spicy coriander that some beers seem to focus on. Very refreshing and on the light side as far as filling me up. The mouthfeel is of a medium-bodied beer. Interesting.

Pours a pale yellow with a creamy, white head.
Smells of pilsner malt, small ester notes...not a lot in the nose.
The taste is sweet up front with some malt character in the middle that leads into a strong orange flavor. It's simple and refreshing.
Lighter body that is crisp and smooth.
I find this to be a find wheat beer that is easy to drink but not particularly engaging.

We sampled this one at the Odell Taproom with some friends, a few Saturdays ago. Poured a hazy dark golden color with a decent white head. Aromas of citrus and bready yeast. On the palate, this one is light bodied and very refreshing, with citrus, yeast and wheat. One of the better wheat offerings out here.

Pours a very hazy dark golden orange color with golden banana yellow hues and a one finger frothy white head that slowly fades into a lasting cap. Glass is left with large streaks and rings of soapy lacing.
Sweet citrus aroma with hints of bready yeast and zesty spice. Hints of peppery clove and orange peel but not much banana slight alcohol phenol character.
Medium bodied with a nice balance of zesty spice, bready yeast and sweet citrus fruit. Very similar to the aroma with hints of wheat, bread yeast along with peppery clove, lemon zest and orange peel. The spice character is prominent but the other notes still shine through. Mineraly dry finish. Clean and refreshing with a nice dry spicy character to give balance and complexity. Good wheat beer for the summer. Lacking in alcohol an banana flavor but still pretty solid.

Reviewed from notes. On tap at the brewery in August 2009.
Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a white head and a bit of lacing. The nose brings some light wheat and lemon and not too much else. The same can be said of the taste, though it incorporates some light grain and bread. Light feel with nice carbonation; this is a good way to start and is quite sessionable.

A: Pours a bright and hazy honey/orange color. A two finger white head forms with good retention. The foam stays as a small cap throughout. Some sticky lace is left behind.
S: Husky wheat and yeast that is very musky. Lemon and grassy aromas.
T: At first very sweet. A surprising amount of caramel sweetness. Though eventually balances out with some husky wheat, hay, and grass. Citrus and lemon flavors. Very enjoyable.
M/D: A light to medium body. Very crisp and clean. Slightly dry as well. Very easy to drink. I can put a few away with no problem.
A very enjoyable wheat beer. Plenty of flavor that is subtle and nuanced. A good standby, and something that I would Recommend.

At Abigail's in Rocheport, MO.
A - Nicely poured, it had a foamy, white two-finger head. The beer was hazy and copper colored. Good lacing.
S - It smelled of citrus and wheat. Maybe a hint of clove/yeast.
T - It had a nice blend of wheat, citrus and spice.
M - It was sharp and crisp. It was very carbonated and light-bodied.
D - This was pretty good. I've had the bottle version before, but on tap it seemed better than my memory recalled.

A slightly hazed golden body, topped with a sparse yet tall white head. No lemon.
Aroma has typical lemongrass, orange peel and clove. With a slight hint of stale malt.
Flavors are mostly light; lemon, citrus and corriander. slight doughy taste comes through, a bit sticky at first. Still a bit light in the finish, but on a hot night it went down fairly crisp. Not rich or over the top.

Slightly hazy, pale straw colored beer with a minimal head. No lacing whatsoever. Aroma hints of crisp malt and not much else. Flavor is clean, with a touch of wheat. No yeast flavors apparent and just a touch of hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is also fairly light, but not thin. Drinkability is OK. One was enough, but I would pick this over any macro lager. Might be a toss-up with Blue Moon. Seriously, just not enough here to bring me back. However, I won't avoid other offerings by Odell either if the opportunity presents itself. It's a well-brewed beer, just not interesting or remotely captivating.

I liked this better than the bottled version, not by a whole lot, but it was an upgrade.
Poured hazy straw with 1" white head & effervesence. Okay head retention & a bit of lacing
S: Tart malt & a hint of lemon
Taste: Tart & fruitty. Tangy wheat malt holds the middle up & finishes quenching & semi-grassy/tangy
MF: Medium bodied for the style with some spritzyness. Okay balance
Hot day & this went down too quick. An okay take on the style, nothing to get fired up about

On tap at Texas Roadhouse, Fort Collins, CO.
If you want to prove to someone that beer doesn't have to be bitter, this is one beer to give him/her. Very pretty and nice, with a nice white head. It's a decent, light smell and taste, with lots of smooth wheatiness and some citrus and a hint of clove. Nice mouthfeel and very drinkable. A good introductory Hefe-weizen, but it certainly doesn't measure up to many of the German imports.

[served at the Spearfish, SD Applebee's]
A rich, golden body, nearly (but not completely) opaque, served with a lemon (fortunately, it hadn't touched the beer yet). A thin head, about 3/8"; laces fairly well. The aroma is quite sweet and malty with some notes of citrus as well.
As the smells promised, the taste was also sweet and malty; the hops are noticed a bit later. The mouthfeel was excellent: light, crisp, and mildly bitter at the end. This is a solid wheat beer, but strikes me as being more of an American Wheat than a Hefe. Still, it goes down as another tasty wheat beer made right here in the central US.

Another bottle from the family trip to Missouri; glad to be seeing some Odell again.
A little over two months before the best-by date (“7/19/13A”).
A: Color is a pale, slightly hazy gold, with a mound of crisp white foam on top; typical for the style. Spotty retention and little circles of lacing here and there.
S: A fruity, spicy aroma that’s undeniably wheat, notes of sweet lemonade, clove, coriander, and juicy orange peel. Quite aromatic, and very pleasing. Estery yeasts (in the form of fresh banana) and husky grain fill the nose to the edges with wheat beer charm.
T: Unlike the nose, there’s not that much to the palate. Hints of lemon, orange, and a little clove blow through on a wave of timid, earthy graininess without so much as an extended greeting before they depart; in essence, it’s a clean, easy-drinking wheat with a very mild taste. Good to see some hops on the back, though, drying the finish to a respectable, slightly-astringent leafiness (keeps it from being too one-dimensional).
M: Very, VERY light, almost offensively so. The more I drink, though, the more I enjoy the texture in my glass – a slow-building frothiness eventually sets this one as “palatable.”
O: An oddly small beer that grew on me over time. That first sip, though – now that was a little too light for my tastes. Allow this one to warm up a little, allowing the grainy wheat notes to overtake what little bitters stick out when it’s chilled. In all, I think I can say that I like it for what it is compared to what it’s supposed to be, but nothing more.

Got in a trade with swingracex. 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 4/25/2013. Pours hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of lemon, pear, light banana, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, floral, grass, and earthy yeast spiciness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt and yeast ester notes with light hops; and good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, light banana, pepper, clove, wheat, bread, floral, grass, and earthy yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruits, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, floral, and earthiness on the finish for a bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy esters; with a great malt backbone and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; wit ha moderately creamy and very smooth mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with no warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice wheat ale! Very nice balance and robustness of flavors; and very smooth to drink. Really enjoyed this one.

12 fl oz brown glass bottle served in weizen glass, reviewed live:
A - Pours a finger of thin, soapy white head with average retention. Color is a cloudy golden orange with tiny visible yeast particles and lively carbonation. Inviting, if a bit generic.
S - Light biscuity yeast and malted wheat. Faint orange zest. Light indistinct spice (clove?). Yeast dominates. Refreshing but simple. Mild strength.
T - The spice is more evident here. Bready wheat body. Light orange/fruity esters and faint floral hops near the finish. The yeast is entirely too subdued. A touch watery, even. Well balanced, but there really isn't a whole lot going on.
M - Crisp and medium bodied. Borders over carbonated.
D - You could do worse, but you could definitely do better. Definitely east drinking, but pretty generic and largely unremarkable.

Poured into pint glass. Apperance is bright yellow with brilliant clarity and a heavy covering of white head. Nice retention and tons of lacing. The smell is very aromatic with lemon and orange peel coming first. Heavy wheat presence come next and provides a dry bready quality. The taste is very mild and refreshing. Light fruity notes balanced with a bit of grain, that's about it. Mouthfeel is also light and moderately carbonated. Overall, a very refreshing wheat beer that is also very easy drinking.

[Suggested Glassware: Weizen Glass]
The pour was a cloudy medium orange with an average (1-2 finger) white frothy head that steadily receded, down to a thin scattered film with a small collar and fair spotty lacing.
The aroma was of a light grain malt, mild grassy hops and a sweaty yeast with a note of citrus (lemon) and a touch of honey.
The taste was a tad sweet and a bit grainy with hints of honey and citrus pretty much throughout, with the finish having a strong yeast presence and a light hoppiness towards the end. The flavor lasted an average time following the swallow with a citrusy and slightly bitter yeast taste left behind.
Mouthfeel was a step or two beyond light in body and watery in texture with a medium carbonation.
Overall this was a pretty basic Wheat Beer that had a good flavor and a really good drinkability, most definitely would make a great summer BBQ session beer...

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass
A: Pours a a light golden color with about a fingers worth of white head that doesn't stick around. It has a decent lacing.
S: Banana and so with a prominent wheat aroma on the nose.
T: Big wheat upfront and some citrus hop notes in the finish.
M: The body is on the lighter side with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: While it not a very complex beer, it is still a great brew. One I would recommend for someone that just got into craft beer.

Glass: Standard US pint glass
Easy Street Wheat is an easy-drinking American Wheat Ale, which means that the flavors are fairly simple, uncomplicated, and reminiscent of a thicker, more complex American lager. I don't know why this is rated so highly: it's average for the style. While it's no trouble to put down one or more of these, I also find myself asking whether there is a significant difference (monetary and otherwise) between this beer (and perhaps the style in general) and a macro lager or two, and thus justifying the price for this fairly tame style is difficult to do.
Pours a 2cm head of off-white foam, small and medium-sized bubbles interspersed fairly evenly, gradually settling to a very thin ring around the glass. Retention is about average for the style, while the lacing left is slightly better than average, a few lines and dots scattered along the sides of the glass. Body is golden orange out of the light, semi-opaque pale yellow gold when in. Some carbonation is visible, though it is sparse and sluggish as it filters through the yeast sediment in the glass.
Aroma is fairly faint, sticking mostly to yeast, cooked cereal grains, and bread dough.
Taste is primarily of malted breakfast cereal grains, wheat and barley, with brewer's yeast and a very gentle hop bittering for added interest. Opens with a mix of brewer's yeast, bread dough, macro-lager light sweetness, and slightly citric sharpness. Mid-palate is yeasty and bready, with a hint of sweetness and tartness in the background. Back of palate picks up very mild hop bitterness, slightly herbal and mulch-like, which serves as a minor character alongside the more dominant bready sweetness and yeast flavors. Aftertaste of sustained mild hop bitterness and bread dough with heavy amounts of yeast, and a touch of tartness on the sides of the tongue.
Beer is medium to medium-light in body, with a fairly high level of carbonation that is expected for the style. The result is, though, a mouthfeel that's a bit painfully fizzy at first, gradually smoothing out to a slow flow across the palate. Features a semi-dry close that's appropriate for the flavors and the style as a whole. The sharp fizziness unfortunately makes this a bit less in my opinion.

We started easy with an Easy Street Wheat from a 12 ounce bottle. On to the beer:
Looks yellowish orange in the cup, topped with a logn lasting head and fine amounts of lace. Smells like lemondrops, and some lemon. Getting to the taste, malted wheat kicks in first, followed by subtle citrus. There is a moderate bitterness from the hops, though the hops don't really take control of this beer. Its body is light, and a crisp body and easy drinkability help its cause.
As an American wheat ale, it's fine. But don't get too excited here.

Pour/Appearance:
Golden in color with tiny chunks of unfiltered yeast floating about. Thin head that dissipates at a moderate pace; lacing quickly disappears.
Smell: Banana, with a strong wheat smell.
Mouthfeel: Notable carbonation, a light beer.
Taste: Slight citrus with a nearly overwhelming earthy wheat flavor. The unfiltered nature is very evident.
Though I am a fan of suspended chunks of yeast, and wheat beers in general, the taste was a slightly too heavy towards the wheat. I think the brewer hit what they were aiming for, though, and I can respect that.

A - Pale, straw yellow, fairly clear, and quite bubbly topped with a thin white head with decent retention and fabulous lacing. <4.5>
S - Bananas and clove with a slight tart, citrus aroma. Overall very sweet. <4.5>
T - Playfully sweet and spicy at the front of the pallet that gives way to a hearty malt backbone with a slight alcohol flavor, but the spices remain constant. The hops make a brief and subltle appearance to clean out the finish. Sticky remnants of hop flavor linger in the aftertaste, giving way to the spices and a faint return of banana sweetness. <5>
M - Creamy, medium body, carbonation is very subtle. <5>
O - The clean finish and subtle sweetness makes this beer very drinkable and the complex, spicy flavor begs another sip. One of the better wheat beers out there. <5>

Picked up a sixer from Total Wine in late June for $7.99. Best by 9/5/12.
Beer poured a cloudy golden color with a decent white head that dissipated quickly.
Nose is of wheat and grass and not much else.
Taste has a nice wheat backbone with a wonderful accent of lemongrass.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a nice carbonation that makes it refreshing.
Overall this is one of the better Wheat Ales i have tried. Odell does a great job with making true session beers flavorful. Great brew for around the pool when it is 105 out!
