This is a barrel aged version of Cutthroat porter that was served on tap at the 2011 Small Batch Festival.

Pours a dark chocolate color with caramel hues and a one finger yellowish beige head.  Great retention slowly fading into lasting csp.  Soapy chunks of lace.

Sweet, slightly funky aroma with lots of toasted oak, roasted malt and subtle vinous notes.  Hints of toast, cream, chocolate and funky bugs.

Full bodied with a dry, slightly tart vinous flavor  Hints of dark fruit, especilly grape, dark cherry, oak, toast and chocolate .  More sour and sweet than I prefer for a porter but still roasty underneath.
