On tap at the brewery. My understanding is that its this year's installment of CSU's brewing class's work. Poured to a standard Odell pint glass.
A - Crystal clear orange amber copper color with a nice 1.5 finger white bubbly head. Good retention and gobs of lacing.
S - A spicy belgian yeast presence together with a light malty sweetness and earthy hop character.
T - Similar to the nose in that the spicy yeast dominates from the start. Coupled with a medium bitterness and light sweet toasted caramel malt flavor. Well balanced. A lingering fruit and spice, peppery. Finishes crisp and clean.
M - Smooth and medium bodied with medium carbonation. Hides the alcohol well.
O - Unusual, but very good. I've never had such spice and pepper character in an IPA. It compliments the yeast flavors well. They did a good job! Enjoyable.

Draft at the 2011 Small Batch Festival.
Pours a clear dark golden orange with a 1.5 frothy, soapy off-white head. Excellent retention only slowly fading into a lasting thick cap. Large chunks of soapy lacing left behind.
Spicy estery aroma with lots of juicy citrus hops. Very sweet and tropical with hints of mango, papaya pineaplle with some grapefruit and orange peel. Subtle light fruit but more tart with funky, peppery spice. Slight booze.
Medium bodied and bursting with juicy fresh hops. Plenty of tropical and citrus hops balance by slight dry bitterness and sweet estery Belgian yeast. Slightly tart with hints of candy sugar, pepper and alcohol. Lots of mango, pineapple and orange peel. Complex, well balanced and well masked ABV makes this very quaffable. This was a really interested hybrid of styles that was pulled off successfully. My favorite beer from the festival.
