Poured from a bottle into a nonic pint.

A – Pours a clear golden yellow with a one and a half finger head of soapy white bubbles. Solid head retention. Spider web like lacing.

S – Decently strong aroma of floral hops, wheat grass, and citrus. Also an underlying honey sweetness smell that stands apart from the citrus sweetness.

T – Big resinous grapefruit hop character, sublimely balanced with notes of pineapple, butterscotch, white grape, and honey. Flavors are rich and complex. Balance lasts all the way through the finish, with an earthy/herbal element becoming more prevalent as it warms. Pretty impressive. Bit of heat comes through toward the end.

M – Medium carbonation. Full bodied. Works well with the style and high abv.

O – A pretty uniquely flavored DIPA that I thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely on the “grass/grapefruit bomb” side of the equation, but complex enough to keep the palate engaged. Kudos to Odell. I’ll definitely buy this again!
