Notes:
A Golden Ale created by blending the final recipe with its own barrel aged pilot beers fermented with wild yeasts. Each individual barrel contributes a unique flavor from the wood chosen and the cultures resident to achieve subtle complexities that develop(ed) over time. A beer which starts sweet, filling the mouth with fruit-like esters and a mild spiciness, changing to a tart and lingering flavor reminiscent of grapefruit living amidst an earthy, citrusy hop aroma. Define flavor for yourself in this constantly evolving liquid expression.

Corked and caged in a 750 mL heavy bottle. $14.99 The bottle is printed with a bunch of scribbles suggesting someone with really bad handwriting artfully blended this. The cork pops easily and loudly.
A: Pours with excessive foaming. Four fingers of khaki head form and swell up over the lip of the goblet before I can get a decent amount of beer out of the bottle. The head persists, with a fine layer of thick film atop layers of rocky, irregular bubbles. The beer is crystal-clear amber. After topping up, the color is cloudy apricot.
S: The Brett leads the lacto, with spicy phenols up front, and tangy vinegar behind. A slight citrus touches off a leathery, dry, oak-infused malt. A faint grassy, earthy hop lingers behind the stronger spices.
T: Whoa. It's hot and alcoholic, like you'd expect from a beer in the 'above 10% ABV' category. It's hoppy, but it's really hot and fusel-flavored. It's boozy and tangy and hard to drink.
M: Hot. It's very astringent and prickly on the front-top of the tongue and sticky in the back and beside the tongue. Mouth-wateringly vinegary.
D: Low.
Overall, not really a favorite oaked beer. It's going to be hard to finish this. May update later.

Thanks to womencantsail for sharing this one at GRG1313’s tasting.
Pours a murky orange with a foamy orange-white head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, fruit, yeast, wood, and wine aromas. Taste is much the same with Brett-like and wood flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of wood bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with some interesting aromas and flavors.

On-tap @ Bar Gernika Boise ID. Served in a chalice.
A: Hazy gold with practically no head.
S: Funky apricot, grassy, wheat and some grain, barnyard funk, some sourness, overripe fruit, pear, apple, pepper, earthy, and small suggestions of oak.
T: Light to medium sourness, moderate funk - barnyard, wet hay, white pepper, grassy, overripe fruitiness, green apple skin, pear, apricot, some malt/grain, light woody/earthy notes, hints of spice and bitterness from a buried hop profile.
MF: Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation, some sour notes.
O: This is not a bad beer, works well as a Belgian inspired Golden Ale with wild yeasts. The Brett is there with some noticeable funk, but its quite manageable. Decent and enjoyable for something that is not right up my alley.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. 2012 bottle.
Appearance - Pushes the cork out once the cage comes off. Doesn't gush though. Big white head on an orange body. Decent retention. Slowly dissipates.
Smell - Lots of wine aroma. White wine. Slightly metallic aroma too. Bretty earthiness, but not a lot of acidity. Sweet malts.
Taste - Very sweet. Not really sour at all. No lacto presence. Lots of brett earthiness. Tons of caramel malt and that same metallic flavor lingers. Fairly bitter too.
Mouthfeel - Heavy and overly carbonated. Not sour at all.
Overall - The label touts all sorts of wild yeast and this just tastes like a bretty Belgian strong pale. Where's the sour?!
