An almost clear golden body with the slightest hint of amber. A bubbly white head dissipates after a few minutes.
Smells of fresh citrusy hops with a bit of malt.
Taste follows aroma: a well-balanced hop bill entertains the tongue while a quiet malt backbone brings continuity.
Light bodied with a relatively high level of carbonation that lends to a pleasant hoppy experience.
Overall I really enjoy this beer. Not simple, yet not terribly complex.

Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Hotel glass (half pint, half snifter)
From: Wilbur’s Total Beverage in Fort Collins, Colo.
Price: Part of a variety 6-pack for $9.99
Purchased: May 2, 2013
Consumed: May 3, 2013
Misc.: Best by Aug. 14, 2013
Poured a caramel orange amber color with two fingers of khaki white head. Lots of bubbles on the side and coming up from the bottom. Good uneven lacing on the sides. Average-to-below average retention on the top all the way down.
Smelled awesome floral hops right from the get-go. Also some citrus notes - tangerine, orange peel, grapefruit and lemon. Nice and flavorful.
First taste reminded me of the Odell IPA that I tried the night before, just not as strong. So that also means that it reminded me of Manzanita IPA and the Chaotic. Floral hops, more bitter than the smell. Could taste the alcohol for sure. Lemon grass and orange peel as well. Some butter notes.
Light-to-medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Slightly bitter finish.
A pretty good pale ale. If you try the Odell IPA, you’re almost trying the same thing. But that is not a bad thing. Good beer.

Pours a pale golden orange color. A finger width of head dissipates quickly. Modest Lacing. Aroma is great. Nose is slightly floral with grapefruit, orange, and peach. Taste is full of hoppy fruitiness with a nice clean bitter hop finish. Just a great hoppy fruity flavor throughout. Mouthfeel is great with the perfect amount of carbonation. This beer is fantastic and I highly recommend it.

Appearance: Pours a clear, pale reddish orange with three fingers of off white foam that clings to the glass.
Smell: Light musty citrus (tangerine/apricot) and a little bit of bright lemon. Some earthiness along with a little bit of sweet malt. Mild and pleasant.
Taste: Pine and lemon citrus zest with notes of floral and honey. Bready/caramel malt backbone and a nutty finish. Nicely balanced with a clean hop bite.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, crisp and clean with good carbonation.
Overall, St. Lupulin is another wonderfully crafted beer by Colorado's Odell Brewing Co. This is exactly what an APA should be. Flavorful, balanced, and refreshing. A perfect summer seasonal. This tasted great relaxing on the front porch at sunset after mowing the lawn.

Best by 8/14/2013, so about 12 days old. 12 oz bottle.
A: Clear body, on the lighter side for color. Excellent retention, which is what I've come to expect from Odell.
S: More malt than hops, which is fine for the style.
T: Nice, mellow bitterness from the hops. Lots of citrus. Malt comes over at the end and gives this one a great finish.
M: Carbonation levels are right where they need to be. Pretty sessionable beer.
O: Solid APA from Odell. I'll be drinking more of these this summer.
