Note: This review was a re-post from my former account, jmkratt, which was hacked and I lost all my reviews...sorry for the redundancy.
Poured from 12oz bottle to Pint Glass. Bottled stamped 4/26/11.
A - Beers poured a perfectly clear cherry wood color. Monstrous head with intense 2.5 head with excellent retention and huge lacing.
S - Monstor blend of rich malt tones and hops. The bottle names American hops. I detected earthy and citrus hops on the aroma. Also prevelant is a nice blend of rich roasted malts.
T - Flavor starts with an extremely pleasant mix of earthy tones of hops with a hint of citrus. I really enjoyed the blend of malt characteristics of roast, toast, and definately biscuit.
M - Medium bodied that coats the palete with a rich creamy flavor.
D - Extremely.
I like how Odell's has transitioned from the Extra Special Red to the current offering. I don't know if it's true that they adjust the recipe from year to year but I really enjoy the hops character with a nice complex malt blend with this year's Red. I a cannot name a better Red Ale. Very nice. Highly recommended.

"Best enjoyed by 5/9/17"; drank 3/12/17 @ the Yarchives.
Semi-opaque ruby red appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge khaki head; frothy tree-rung lace.
Baking soda, caramel & mild grapefruit notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Mild grapefruit & caramel flavors up front; dry baking soda notes on the finish.
Inoffensive & drinkable in a pinch, but I'll certainly never yearn for another one.

Pours a cinnamon gold in color with a thick head and hearty lacing. This beer looks awesome in color. Smells of malty hops and some pine. Tastes exceptional, I was taken back how good it was. Very nice malty sweetness with a good hit of hops, dryness, and light citrus. A thick beer with a medium feel, this is a a great IPA, very happy with this one!!

This beer pours a clear red amber with a solid head. The aroma is very pungent, with grapefruit, mango, papaya, guava, and pine. The flavor features lots of grapefruit pith, pine, papaya, slight malt sweetness, and pronounce bitterness. The mouthfeel is full bodied with rich, foamy carbonation. Overall this is a truly delicious red ale, with great malt and hop tension.
