An alley is the front street to this store. Small and hard to find. Locals only I imagine. Perhaps a good place in a pinch: Say, you're in town for so-and-so festival and forgot to pick up a bottle of whatever. Hit the place, they may have it.

As the name suggests, a wine store. They are helpful and say they'll order stuff for you, but I've never tried to. No need for me, really. Nice peeps.

Good wine selection, a bit pricey. There space just doesn't accommodate more beer. I'd almost like to see them carry rare, perhaps expensive stuff rather than 6 packs. But, they know better than I for that location.

Wines Off Wynkoop is a hole-in-the-wall retail store in LoDo (Lower Downtown), that is actually located in an alley, so it's a little tricky to find the first time, but they've been there since 1997.

They focus mostly on wine, but will special order anything they can get for you, including beer. You do have to order beer by the case, and they offer free delivery within a couple of miles of the store, and charge a small delivery fee outside of that. The owner of the store helped start The Wynkoop Brewery, which is right down the street.

Their prices are a little higher than what you might pay at one of the big box stores, but are in-line with smaller retail stores in Denver, and certainly cheaper than the surrounding bars and restaurants.

(Note:) Their in-store selection is limited to about 60-SKUs of beer, but the fact that they special order anything they can get in Colorado is a definite plus if you are willing to wait a couple of days for it.
