Wow. I found a gem of a beer today.

Pours brown in color. Hazy, thick and cream like. Moderate carbonation. Slight tan colored head.

Nose is very much where all the love starts. A nice mix of butter scotch, vanilla, toffee and caramel flavor. Malty, sweet and reminding me of ice cream. No alcohol is felt. Roasted malts.Slight chocolate.

Taste: Very much like nose. Awesome creamy, toffee, butter scotch, vanilla and caramel flavors. Very complex and delicious at the same time. Toasted malts are apparent. Alcohol warmth is felt, but never hurts.

Mouth feel :Medium to somewhat thick feel. Creamy, smooth and drinks very easy.

Highly recommended stuff from this upcoming brewery.

My first review. And my first Scottish Ale!

Poured into a Guinness Pint glass. It is amber brown in color. Small, tan colored head. Moderate carbonation.

Nose is a caramel and toffee flavor. The taste is in line with the nose. Lots of caramel and and toffee flavors. Very sweet and tasty. Alcohol is very present, but not overpowering. The mouth feel is medium, increasing in body as the beer warms. There is an amazing sweet aftertaste that lingers long after the beverage has been consumed.

I am very impressed with this beer, my first foray into Scottish Ales. It is very different from my recent experiences, mainly with IPA's (far sweeter and less citrus tasting). I look forward to having this beer again and will definitely be exploring this style further.

New to Indianapolis in the past couple weeks.

Floyd's Folly pours a medium bodied raisin brown in color with a light, off white lacing around the glass. The nose consists of light chocolate, crystal esque malt, raisin, and light toffee. It is smooth and well balanced. There isn't the slightest trace of the 8% in the nose either. The flavors too, smooth and on par for the style. There is a good amount of chocolate aspect upfront followed by sweet toffee, caramel, raisin, and light nutty under tones. It drinks medium in body with a nice, resonating aftertaste. Overall this is a really nice representation of the style. The wife enjoyed it to.

It's really comparable to Founders Dirty Bastard.

Very nice caramel flavors. Good representation of Scottish Ale. Was not aware of the alcohol content until after tasting. 8%... wow! This is my first Cutters Brewing brew and I was very impressed. My wife even liked it, which is saying a lot for a beer not named Miller or Coors.

Pours a wonderful deep copper with great head and wonderful lacing throughout. Excellent deep and hugely sweet malty aroma, with huge caramel tones. Great caramel flavors, as well, with hints of toffee; huge sweet malt flavors, nice earthy hop finish; nice peatiness as it warms up. Goes down very well for a bomber of 8% ABV. The guy at Big Red called this one quite well.

Pours a cloudy amber with little head. What head is there is an eggshell or ecru. Aroma of popcorn is here with a sugary sweetness.The nice hop bitterness balances the sweetness appropriately. Tasty but not worthy going out of the way for. Overall, a good beer, but if looking for a good example of the style, there are better options.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into a pint glass.

A - A very cloudy burnt orange bordering on brown. Thin fizzy off-white head that dissipates quickly. A whole lot of lacing makes up for it.

S - Malty sweetness. A tinge of smoked peat and leather.

T - A fairly complex Scottish Ale. Roasted malts and caramel sweetness dominate. Vanilla, Toffee, and a touch of fruitiness. Alcohol comes through on the end and a great smoked peat and caramel aftertaste is left on the palate.

M - Medium mouthfeel with a good kick of carbonation. Very rich.

A wonderful take on the style. This one holds its own. Another tasty brew from the guys down at Cutters.
