Bottled November 2012.
Pours a nice bronze color with a finger thick foamy head that leaves chunks of lacing on the glass. Smell is melon and spring flowers. Taste is light citrus with a mild bitterness on the finish. Feel is medium with a light, fizzy carbonation. Very smooth. A little hoppier than a lot of lagers I've had, but still with a nice maltiness.
Quite good overall.

Bottle dated November 2012. Close to 5 months old. Meh.
A: Pours a slightly hazy amber with a large fluffy tan head. Head fades slowly, leaving pretty decent splotchy lacing behind. Nice head retention too.
S: Herbal, almost medicinal hops and some caramel. Almost spicy.
T: Nice herbal and piney hops up front. Transitions to a nice sweet caramel malt to balance it out. More herbal and piney flavors in the finish with a decent boost of bitterness now.
M: Medium bodied, smooth.
O: A really nice red lager. Reminds me a lot of their red tape lager but with a caramel malt instead of a bready malt. In either case, it's very smooth, balanced and easy drinking. Hops add just enough kick to make it stand out. Very drinkable.

Large, four-finger head. Frothy settling with a bit of stringy lace. The liquid is copper colored and nearly clear.
Nice blend of semi-sweet caramel and fresh, floral hop. Attractive and balanced.
Full caramel malt flavor up front. Full-bodied. The hop comes along strongly--very peppery in the swallow. Long lasting aftertaste with a creamy finish. Decent carbonation.
