16.9 fl oz brown bottle served in a pilsener glass.
August 2012 batch.
Slightly hazy straw in color; very active carbonation. Dense, bright white foam that sits up about 2 inches and plasters the pilsener's glass with heavy lacing.
Clean, slightly sharp citrus with a pleasantly mild sweetness: lime, pineapple, honeydew. A light sweetness from the malted wheat with just a touch of coriander and rye that adds another aroma of spice.
The tropical-citrus sweetness comes through initially: lime, cantaloupe, but it bottoms out pretty quickly when met by a wall of spicy grains. The spice is black pepper, rye, and coriander and has a pretty unique flavor profile. The finish is crisp and clean prior to a lightly burnt bitterness with notes of juniper, unripened apple, and lime.
Light bodied; active and clean. Texturally-speaking, it acts as a palate cleanser of sorts.
A very unique and flavorful version of typically a pretty bland style. Light and active; very sessionable.

Clear gold with a large, lumpy white head. Thick layer of retention slathers foam all over the glass.
Light citrus like grapefruit hard candy and black pepper aroma. Mouthfeel catches my palette first - it's light, fluffy and pretty awesome. Spicy flavor, a mix of black pepper and malty rye with grapefruity pine pinpricks.
Not the hope bomb I've come to expect from JA but I have a feeling it's an old bottle. The fact that some of the hops have faded and its still this good is very impressive.
