Poured into a tulip with a large fluffy head. Lots of sticky lacing. There is a slight bit of haze.
The aroma has a lot of pepper and a little dry wheat malt.
The taste is spicy as well. Light grassy hop blends well with the musty yeast filled finish.
This is light bodied and delicious. Another refreshing winner from Oxbow.

64 oz growler shared by Thorpe. Thanks!
Pours a clear, chilled pale straw with a wispy white head that quickly fades to a ring of thin bubbles. Slightly sweet nose of yeast, straw, lemon grass, and mild sulfur. Medium full body, well carbonated with a crisp lemon and grain finish. Flavor is lemon and grass, mildly earthy and sulfuric.

Poured into a pint glass. This one pours a cloudy pale straw with just a thing layer of white foam.
The aroma has a aroma of pale wheat with some hints of lemon zest in the background. The pallet is similar with pale wheat malt flavors and a bit of a bitter hop finish.
The body is nice and light with good carbonation. Overall this is real enjoyable. A nice afternoon drink.

Picked up a growler at the brewery earlier today. It's either been in the cooler or in the fridge since then. I'm pouring Loretta into a tulip glass.
The beer has a light straw color and is translucent. It has a good sized white foam head that doesn't want to go away. A small pocket of clinging carbonation rests at the bottom of the glass. Lacing is fairly even.
This beer's aroma has a slight touch of farmhouse funk; it provides a musty character that is appealing. Wheat (ok, really it's spelt) is apparent, as is some light bitterness.
The flavor is fairly mild, but has a strong wheat (again, it's actually spelt) taste. Grassy hops come forward near the end, but I wouldn't call it bitter. Some of the mustiness I associate with a good farmhouse yeast strain can be tasted after I swallow, but like the rest of the beer's flavor, it isn't very strong. That's not to say it is hard to taste, it just isn't in your face. The only thing that immediately apparent about this beer is how sessionable it is.
Loretta has a medium body and a good amount of carbonation. It doesn't really tickle the tongue all that much, but you can feel it. A very slight coat holds some of the spelt flavors.
This is a really great sessionable summer saison. I'd love to have a keg of this in my cellar to slowly work through during the warmer months. I could drink this one all day. If you are interested in different interpretations of a saison, you should seek this one out.
