Appearance: Dark amber to brown color. Minimal head and a bit of lacing
Smell: Fruity and sweet with a suggestion of alcohol.
Taste: Well balaced and malty. Not as sweet or carbonated as many of this style. Nutty and smooth at the finish. A nice rounded flavor!
Mouthfeel: Smooth and rich to the palatte. The malt lingers on the tounge and in the nose long after the sip.
Drinkability: This is a well balanced barleywine. This is my favorite style, so I am sure my rating is a bit inflated. However, it is not as sweet and boozy as most. The malt is delicious and rich. My favorite NxNW brew yet!

Pours murky, hazed orange with a nice offwhite head and some yeast. Smell is nicely rich, thick tart maltiness with alcohol well hidden. Taste is tart/sweet malt, and a hint of alcohol. Typical flavors of the style, but nicely made and much better to me than most of the style. Worth a try.

Appearance - Served in a tulip glass. Light brown, ice tea color. Off white cap. Nice lacing.
Smell - Malty. Spicy. Moderate hop aroma. Fruity. Mild, toffee undertone.
Taste - Sweet malt. Alcohol. Fruity. Slightest touch of caramel.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied. Low to medium carbonation. Slick.
Drinkability - Nice. Definitely a malty English barleywine. Good sipper.
