75cl bottle poured twice into westmalle chalice

2011 vintage

A- Amber body with excellent clarity. 2 finger creamy head reduces to a thin crown quickly with very good lacing

T- lots of toffee and treacle sweetness, hint of pepper and strawberry jam

S- lots of toffee sweetness up front, hint of strawberry jam and vanilla coming through and a note of toasted malt comes through in the full finish.

M- low carbonation, full body, touch sticky


D- it's certainly sweet. Liked it more the more I drank it. Alcohol well hidden but a finish a bit clumsy. For me the jury is still undecided to be honest.
