All right place until night time comes, then it fills with terrible crowd. Ok food, the selection is nice and comprehensive, nothing rare or unique but with 50+ taps and many dedicated to crafts you'll find something you like

The Bier Stube is located in a big strip mall with dozens of other stores, the most prominent being Cici's Pizza. I walked into darkness. It's dimly lit at the bar and downright dark throughtout the rest of the place. There are 4 TVs on each side of the bar, each set of 4 tuned to the same thing, one bank facing left and one right, including a screen for Keno. Several other TVs are scattered elsewhere. Unlike other places like this, it's fortunately not loud at all; the TVs are muted and the conversation is relaxed. I'm sure it livens up at night. The place is big and open with lots of space and it's also neat and clean. There are two pool tables off to the back. However, regadless of the neatness and arrangement, I can't shake the "dive" impression. The bartender is nice, though I get the feeling her tips comes from more than her personality. She does her job well, though she has no particular knowledge of beer. It took a while for anyone to serve me after I'd sat down because I wasn't at the bar. The cook was also a cool guy, though, and the service was good when I got it. Now for the beer: there are 33 taps and some bottles. On tap is some good stuff. I had a two-hearted, and there was also GL Edumd Fitzgerald, Arrogant Bastard, and 4 Bell's drafts as well as SABL and SNPA, along with some Leinie's. I was also pleased to try Wild Duck from local nanobrewery Great Black Swamp. The rest was macro, and nothing was rare, but there are some good craft offerings if you just want good beer and not to try something new. The food is typical bar food but good for what it is. This is a good place if you're just hanging out and need a good beer. If you want to read or do some work, you should proabably hit up a coffee shop, but this place will serve well otherwise.
