session ale? no. this is an English style malty filling sweet annoyingly deceptive beer. damnit. it pours a caramel hued honey color with an okay off white head and a ton of fish food yeast floaties weighing it down. the nose is English malt, sweeter and fuller bodied, not what I expected from something supposed to be hoppy and crisp, I don't smell hops at all. the flavor is almost like a copper ale, or an English pale, with all that caramel sweetness and doughy heft. nothing sessionable about this, its higher abv for the term, and drinks like a normal brew, only heavy and filling from the malt choice, and not refreshing like I expect a dry hop to be, very little bitterness in the finish. overall this full bodied malty beer might work as a session beer in October. but in the mid may context, it just doesn't work for me. skip it in favor of almost anything if you are looking for something to slam this summer.

Hazy amber golden-brown, with a thicker one-finger head, a nice-looking creamy one. Laced well.
Perfume to the nose right away, maybe some citrus or lemongrass hinting in there, but boy I don't recall ever whiffing a beer that struck me as perfume as much as this one. Curious. Since there's not much else to make out I'm going to say I'm indifferent to the scent; I'll call it one-dimensional and non-descript in that regard.
Upon tasting The perfume moves tight into sour bready malts and a hop profile im not partial to for some reason. Finishes a bit better than it tastes because of some pine, but any of the dominating hops seem to take backseat to the earthy caramel and sour bread.

Light orange amber color with thick head and descent retention. Nice lacing as well. Pine and citrus aroma also some wheat character. Dense bready and toasty wheat and rye malt character. HInt of caramel sweetness. Semi-aggressive hops of herbal leaf and pine. Medium body, malty texture and lively carbonation. Highly drinkable and well balanced.

A- This beer pours a deep caramel body with a thick lumpy head of beige that is supported by a microbubble carbonation.

S- The citrus orange and cinnamon spice aroma has some toasted malt notes with more biscuit and Munich malt aromas coming through. There is a silage quality to the finish with hops and malt blending nicely.

T- The cream and dry lightly toasted malt flavor have a soft caramel sweetness I the finish with a green herbal hop finish that lingers as a more pungent marmalade hops flavor.

M- This beer has a medium-full mouthfeel with a dry crisp fizz and no real alcohol heat noticed.

O- The nice complexity to the aroma doesn’t come through in the taste and all the hop depth is lost aswell. Still a nice tasting beer.

Picked up a single of this brew from my local establishment, Civera's in Drexel Hill. Lets see how this matches up.

Appearance: pours a dark, copper, brown, hue-like color. Nice caramel coloring in addition to a slightly foam, white head. Minimum lacing is noticed. Also, I noticed bubbles floating around with other unrecognizeable sediments. Possibly to enhance appearance and/or flavor?

Smell: upon first inspection, bready hops are noticed, not so bad, but room for improvement. Light floral hops are noticed and add a somewhat nice addition. A slight hint of citrus is noticed, like an orange zest.

Taste: has a over abundance of bread-like malts. Caramel flavor and citrus hops are also very apparent. A slight hint of pine is also noticed, although very light. As the brew continues to flow and the glass empties, I begin to notice an almost vanilla ams toffee flavor, although not very strong at all.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a slightly above average carbonation. Doesn't finish very dry, quite refreshing.

Overall: coming into this beer, I didn't have many expectations. It looked like an interesting brew. I would have liked to have enjoyed this beer thorougly, but it honestly feels like something's missing. I would have to say a slightly more bitter taste, and possibly more hops. It was quite refreshing, and I would have to say a decent addition to the category. I probably won't have again and maybe recommend to a friend, looking to expand their horizon. Cheers!
