Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine June 2007.
He'Brew's first creation, kosher as well. Contract-brewed, though without a doubt part of the craft-beer industry. At least in our eyes.
This beer boasts a deep amber color that is perfectly clear and stunningly bright when held to light. The head shows two fingers after a hard pour, with good retention. Malty and creamy aroma with a hint of hops. Sublime crispness adds to its drinkablity. Solid medium body.
Malt character makes it way around a few times with bready, caramel and biscuity flavors. The hop bitterness seems modest at first but then sneaks in with a prickly bitterness from middle to end with fine herbal, woody and citric flavors. Toasted biscuit flavors and a mild fruitiness share the same space in the drying finish.
Nothing over the top, which is something that gets overlooked--just an easy- drinking and delicious yet somewhat complex ale. Chalk this one up for brunch, and pair it with an everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, red onion, tomato and capers.

A hoppy brew to say the least, west coast style all the way. I could see pairing this with some knishes and a beef brisket sandwich on rye.

A: The beer is slightly hazy amber orange in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation along with some fine particles visible floating in suspension. It poured with a half finger high beige head that died down, consistently leaving a thin head covering the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of caramel malts are present in the nose along with some hints of fruity yeast.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has a mixture of caramel malts and fruity yeast flavors as well as some bits of earthy hops. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels a bit shy of medium-bodied, slightly thin and a little smooth on the palate with a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink—especially given its lighter body—but nothing really stands out in the taste except for the fruity yeast.
