I'm led to believe that there is Rye (grain) in this beer, thus making it a bit cloudy and adding to the distinctive taste.
Whatever is being done, it is delicious.
A deep yellow color almost gets to amber. Mine was chill-hazed but not because of any floating particles.
The smell was bracing, with a crisp hop aroma.
The taste was sweet with a hint of bitterness. Very smooth and easy-drinking.
One of the better pilsners that I've EVER tried.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

I know when I think "pils", I think "mermaid"... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises flowers, sweetgrass, and a splash of honey. The taste brings in more of the same, with the grass allowed to express a bit of chlorophyll, and some mild citrus peel tossed in for good measure. The body is a rather light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fairly smooth feel. Overall, a nice pils, nothing to get worked up about, but an able choice if you're looking for a domestic example of the style.

Pours a clear, copper/gold color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Good retention and slight lacing. Smells of sweet malt, pale malt, hops, hint of grass, and a hint of citrus, and a hint of caramel malt. Fits the style of a German Pilsner, but also has the body and aroma reminiscent of an ESB. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, caramel malt, slight pale malt, hint of grass, hint of floral, and slight hops. Overall, decent aroma and blend.
