This place used to be a stone-works type place--y'know, birdbaths, gnomes, etc--called Amato's. I guess part of the deal when Breckenridge bought the land was to keep the name....
Anywho, it's a rather large place with a dining area on the right, a bar and patio on the left, and an upstairs bar (small) and outside deck. Nice view from up there.
Plenty of taps, and not bad pricing on the beer. Food is a bit steep. I got a Tank 7 for $5, and loved it. It can be a bit noisy in the bar section, imagine that, but otherwise it's a nice hangout. Service was a bit better than average, but they're always busy. I've been there several times and always have a "not so easy" time finding a seat.

Fairly new (opened early 2011), they have a really nice rooftop patio, and the overall atmosphere is modern and clean, yet welcoming.
The beer selection isn't too bad (30-40 beers on tap, and a few in cans). The place is a joint venture between Breckenridge and Wynkoop Breweries, so most of the beers will be from their lineups, although they also have others (Boulevard, Avery, etc.)
Their food is the typical bar food selection, and wasn't too bad when I tried it. The service was friendly and efficient, but they do tend to get very busy, so things might be different then.
Definitely not as good as Falling Rock or Freshcraft, but worth a visit.

Located just across I25 from downtown this restaurant is on the edge of the Highland’s area. Amato’s is the newest Breckenridge restaurant venture in Colorado. Luckily, I’ve been pretty happy with all of the others. Parking is pretty much along the street, although you can always park east of I25 and walk over, too. Because of how the place is structured, it’s long and narrow. You can choose between a ½ covered patio, bar seating area, and dining room. Everything looks brand new, although it’s clearly influenced by the Grand Junction version of the Ale House. The bar area, patios, and general look seem to be similar. That is not a bad thing, though. I’d say it looks fairly upscale for a bar and grill.
The food menu consists of bar favorites like wings, sliders, burgers, sandwiches, fish & chips, etc. Burgers were large and tasty. I saw a few sandwiches that were absolutely massive. Food prices were a hair steep, though. Nothing crazy, but there are definitely cheaper places to grab pub grub.
The tap list is pretty massive. Pretty much every normal Breckenridge beer is on tap, as you might expect. That includes brewery-only ones like Thunder, too. and There are several beers from their sister brewery, the Wynkoop, too. Additionally, there are about 30 more taps ranging from Bristol, to Great Divide, to Upslope, to Oskar Blues, to even smaller breweries like Dry Dock and Strange. Beer prices are normal to cheap and range from $4-$6 each. While I didn’t see anything too crazy or rare, they did have a fair number of oddball taps for things like Cheyenne Canyon Brown and Upslope Lager. Honestly, I was more than happy with the tap selection and would say it's definitely among the top 5 tap lists in Denver.
Nice place with excellent taps and good food. The location is also pretty convenient to both the Highlands and downtown, too.
Maybe not the greatest place ever, but a nice spot. If the food was a buck or two cheaper it would likely stand out a lot more.
EDIT: I'd say their tap selection is getting even better. I'm seeing more stronger offerings (in tulip glasses) and more non-everyday beers from local brewers big and small. Almost everything is either $4 or $5, which is also nice.
